Wale Owoeye ESQ
Wale Owoeye is a lawyer, poet, teacher, mystic and the author of SIXTY-SIX SONGS. He has written a trilogy of memorials of which SHALIZ-THE SECRET STAR is the bridge linking the first and last book together. An avowed Neo-Negritudian, his writing style is avant garde, charting a new course of lyrical mysticism in the age old genre. He is presently writing another commemorative poetry work inspired by President Barrack Obama.

Foreword
‘Sixty-Six Songs’ is a commemorative work in the main. First, the songs commemorate the beautiful life of someone whose footprints on the sands of time would have permanently been lost, being that he sired no child before his light dimmed on earth in the sixth month of the sixth year of the new millennium. To reverse this sad fate gave birth to the book which incarnates his memories like a child and by that makes him victor death in his sleep. Hence the title and its recurrent motif.
As an extension, the songs symbolize the act of breaking away from the fetters holding the spirit bound so that it can soar like it was created to. The sixty-six songs, each of a bird, therefore are an expression of freedom and a leeway into the divine window of which every spirit aspires. Set in a sestet of perfect quatrains to the glory of
