A Man Filled with Love & Rage: (And a Strong Libido)
By Xlibris US

About this ebook
downright distort and destroy the truth to protect
the guilty and the innocent just so they can talk
about the book and its characters in abstract terms.
Well, thats not how I play the game. Hell, I never
played that damned game at all. This book of poems
is actually about A Man Filled With Love & Rage
( and a strong libido). Sound interesting? Buy a
copy and read it, youll be glad you did. If it doesnt
sound interesting just keep walking, you probably
wouldnt understand it anyway. And thats about it.

Dr. Benway Lectures
He took to an orange crate
on a street corner to deliver
his oration on his philosophy
of medicine and surgery
emphasized that it mattered
not if the patient survived
the procedure what mattered
most was that the surgeon’s
performance be facile and
creative the patient was
merely the canvas
and the surgeon
the artist with loss of blood
and destruction of body
organs and limbs simple
byproducts
of the artists’ techniques
the death of a patient
immaterial in the big
picture
immaterial in the overall
scheme of things
4 Corners
Our parents brought us
all 4 of us into this world
sent us rolling around
and whipping around
like so many cars in a
demolition derby with
sudden bumps and jolts
and sundry damages
that never stopped flung
us into each others’ corner
for brief periods for no
apparent reason providing
a short lived illusion of
understanding and allegiance
and we hung on to stagnant
dreams of family as so many
do despite mounting evidence
that would suggest a dissolution
be in order until one day we
all 4 of us hit head on in the middle
52 Pick Up
We keep looking for rules
making artificial rules
that don’t work
don’t hold water in this
no holds barred game of
52 Pick Up
some would call chaos
some would call anarchy
one false step and it’s
down for the count
planning is just another
fools errand
shit happens
is the order of the day
expectations are just
another form of suicide
the question is
are we supposed
to even try to pick them up at all
1001 Nights
That’s the limit
that’s all you get
good ones anyway
otherwise the moon
goes out on strike
leaves you blanketed
in black
no hint of romance
no hint of the
theater of the absurd
just a penetrating
blindness with no
apparent beginning
and no apparent end
a lifeless devoid
barren of all creation
but ah those 1001
nights while they
are there for the asking
while they last
for romance
for love
for general wonderment
at the universe
at the inconceivable
concept of infinity
for stretching your mind
as far as it can go
without snapping back
like a rubber band
A Kiss On a Raindrop
I dreamt I walked up
my old street
toward her house
when a kiss on a raindrop
fell on my forehead
like no other raindrop
I’ve ever felt
there was 200 proof
pure love in that kiss
on that raindrop
that lit up my eyes
that lit up my heart
that lit up my soul
like never before
this raindrop being
the only one of the day
the only one of its kind
and the kiss
the only one that ever was
dreams can be fucking wonderful
A Single Step
A single step
outside the front door
into night
is lonely
the chilling wind
leaves rustling
across the ground
streets stripped
of human traffic
no beautiful woman
hiding in the bushes
waiting to pounce
and have her way with me
everyone in the neighborhood
stored away
in their houses
cars shiver
in their parking spaces
trees stand stolid
holding their breath
even dogs do
a nervous dance
to control
their bladders and bowels
until warmer temperatures
prevail
it is stark
and filled with chill
outside my front door
and I can’t take
the loneliness anymore
so I am going back inside
A Walk In The Park
I’m gonna’ shake all
the dust and rust
