Nellie-Bless Motey
Nellie-Bless Motey is a passionate reader, whose love for books began as a child, when she fell in love with children’s classics. Her love of writing was inspired by her desire to have every child reading. To Nellie, reading is an adventure that should be discovered by every child and knows they will have fun reading too. She has also authored a couple of children’s books inspired by children with special needs. She has travelled extensively and participated in international Book Fairs; notable among them are Bologna (Italy) International Children’s Book Fair and Frankfurt (Germany) International Book Fair. Nellie has successfully pursued diverse careers in addition to writing. She believes education has no end so she is constantly upgrading herself academically. Her experience in printing and publishing for the past 17 years is enriching. She is married with two lovely children she adores. She loves to travel and to learn new languages. She speaks English and French and has basic knowledge in Chinese, German and Italian. She is currently studying Spanish. Nellie is an epitome of love and those who know her attest to that. She is highly principled and trustworthy too. She finds solace, joy, peace and a lot of adventure in books and is always in a world of her own when reading.

Angel walked briskly towards home, holding a parcel in her hand. She was singing one of her favourite songs.
The gospel train is coming
I hear it just at hand
I hear the car wheels moving
And rumbling through the land
Get on board
Little children get …..
Suddenly, a voice rang out.
That’s the ugly duckling!
Throw something at her,
another voice rang out.
Let’s give her a beating!
said a third.
Angel knew it was the nasty gang of boys who lived around the corner not far from her house. They always gathered there on Saturdays when there was no school. They often mocked passers-by. She broke into a run in order to escape them.
Hee-hee!
one of the boys jeered. See her run!
She’s afraid of school!
another said.
Brainless girl!
said a third.
Ha-haa! Special girl indeed!
Angel ran as fast as she could. The boys ran after her. She tripped trying to catch her breath. Before she could lift herself off the ground, the boys had reached her and pulled her to her feet.

Angel politely said, thinking they were finally being kind to her.
For what? You think we like you? We don’t. We only helped you up so we could beat you,
they said laughing.
