About this ebook
So that there will be no confusion as to the sequence of events relating to the Second Advent of Christ, let us hear the words of Paul: ---Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except (until) there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. ---For the mystery of inequity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: even him, whose coming is AFTER the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved (2Thess 2:1-10). It is important to note that Satan will come first pretending to be God, or more accurately, the returning Christ and that the real Christ comes after Satan is allowed his hour of temptation. This will be a time of testing and only those who receive the love of the truth of Gods Word will be able to survive the test. In other words, those who are not familiar with what God has spoken through his Word, the Bible, about this time in history will be like the five virgins who had no oil for their lamps (Mt 25:1-13). The most important truth to know from Gods Word about this time ahead is that the false comes first. This piece of information will clear up many misconceptions and misinterpretations of Bible warning scriptures.
There is also a false doctrine that has been introduced into the Church within the last 175 years that teaches that true believers will be raptured off the earth prior to Satans allotted time. This is a dangerous concept for it will just make Satans work of gathering souls to fill the ranks of hell that much easier. The Bible teaches that Christ is only coming back one more time and that is AFTER Satans allotted time on earth. No one is going anywhere until this time of testing is completed. Bear in mind Satan and his fallen angels will possess supernatural powers and will be capable of deceiving even some of the most knowledgeable and faithful. Are you prepared for that?
In the parable of the ten virgins (Mt 25:1-13), Jesus is warning us what will happen if we are not prepared. The use of the word virgins is apropos since Paul has stated that he wants to present the Church to Christ as a chaste virgin (2Cor 11:2). The oil f

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
When Jesus left this earth He said He would return and for all to be prepared. We are now closer to the time of His return than most realize yet few are prepared. What most don’t realize is that the Bible teaches that Satan and his fallen angels are going to be physically placed back on this earth for a short period of time prior to our Lord’s return for a time of testing. Are you prepared for that? There is a false teaching which has been introduced into the Church within the last 200 years that true believers will be raptured
off the earth prior to Satan’s allotted time, yet the truth is no one is going anywhere until this is all over. The Word of God contains all that is necessary for preparation yet so few are reading the Bible with understanding that God has decided in these final days to speak unto man in terse sundry ways.
These poems have been inspirationally received and passed on both as a watchman’s warning of what is about to take place on this earth and also as a summary of the Bible’s teachings on how to be prepared. These poems are not to be taken lightly for they are symbolic oil to fuel the lamps of the wise virgins who patiently await the bridegroom. May God grant each of you the ability to read with discernment.
INTRODUCTION
AWAKEN THE WATCHMAN
The prophets of old, may their wisdom increase,
All spoke of a time this Age it should cease.
A time that is such as never has been
Has always been called the time of the end.
When Christ shall return and claim what is His,
A time of both light and darkness it is.
Before the true Christ will God ever send,
Must Satan to walk the earth once again.
These things He foretold, His Word does not lie!
Only a fool would His truth to deny.
The one who won’t hear these words that we speak
Has sown of the seeds of destruction to reap.
The Bible is read by hardly a few,
What God has to say most have not a clue!
Pray who can survive the days just ahead,
For most of the world is spiritually dead.
Our hope lies within the power of His love,
The Spirit of God as sent from above.
He has decided in these final days
To speak unto man in terse, sundry ways.
Four winds of the earth the angels did hold
Till knowledge of God, His servants were told.
That sealing is done and fate is set free;
The future is soon the present to be.
Awaken the watchman! He might take a stand.
The hour of his watch is now close at hand.
The days of our youth are gone like the wind,
Hearken the message that the Spirit does send.
These words that I write are not of my own,
Pay heed what is said, we walk not alone.
May truth now abound, revealed in its time,
A warning now given in verse and in rhyme.
Who will have patience his soul to revive
To read what we say his soul might survive.
The need is now greater than ever was found
That knowledge of God, His truth might abound.
He wrote each a letter and called it His Word,
Therein was it written what needs to be heard.
But who can withstand the time of the end
Who has not the knowledge that’s written therein?
The world is so full of ignorance and bliss
Does hardly a soul know what is amiss.
Because of God’s love and death all around
These poems are now given that truth might abound.
May wisdom prevail and seek now the truth,
That life may endure the days of thy youth.
No soul can survive the time just ahead
Lest know of God’s Word therein what is said.
The poems of this book as said of God’s Word,
Can knowledge be gained unless it is heard?
What good is the salt, the salt of the earth,
If its flavor is lost, just what is its worth?
A candle is lit and glows now in rhyme,
The lesser is given that greater might shine.
Let wisdom prevail and seek now its light,
The time of the end descends as the night.
Let there be no mistake of what has been said
These poems have been written as the Spirit has led.
They are given that when comes the beast of the end,
Might all be prepared to enter his den.
So hearken to these words we write
And may you rise to see the Light!
The one who won’t hear what is told,
May God have mercy on his soul.
THE GOSPEL POEMS
(IT’S ALL ABOUT GOD’S LOVE)
THE LONGEST JOURNEY
Yon river flows into the sea.
How long, Oh Lord, must water flow
Until quite full its basin be?
Please answer Lord that we might know.
The seasons change from year to year.
How many now have come and gone?
How many more, Lord, will appear
Before the time when none belong?
Each day the sun appears at dawn.
How many times, we can’t surmise.
Will time some day return to spawn
A dawn in which no sun will rise?
We’re born into this world by chance,
Or so it seems, but maybe not.
Is it by plan or happenstance?
The answer Lord has long been sought.
You formed the earth and all therein;
For your pleasure was man brought forth.
The journey home could now begin,
By choice the soul needs seek the source.
Born from above (or so to speak),
No other way may it be done.
Born of woman, with life to seek.
From heaven must all souls thus come.
Why did you choose that fateful day
So long a path for all to tread?
To create man in your own way,
Dear God just look to where it’s led!
It started back when all was pure,
No sin had passed through heaven’s gate,
Till pride was found in one for sure,
One bad apple can spoil the crate.
The love of God does now shine true,
For sin has come where none He gave.
He did it all for me and you,
The soul of man He wills to save.
Our love is His one great desire,
But ours alone it is to give.
A choice to make He does require,
A choice wherein that one might live.
In Adam was all such made known
The choice for each of us to make.
Our love be true to God alone,
Or else for each to love the snake.
This world and all therein does lie
Was formed for souls whom God does cherish.
Though one has been condemned to die
He wills that none should ever perish!
Now wisdom shines in all its glory
When all is said and all is done,
And time has told the sacred story,
We seal our love through Christ the Son.
What man could never do alone,
To somehow wash our sins away,
The blood of Christ; it does atone,
Now back where we belong to stay.
The truth be known—it matters not
When time began or when will end.
In Christ alone can life be sought,
The heavens purged of all what sinned.
The story told is hard to see
But truth now shines from up above.
The way back home for you and me,
It’s all you see about God’s love!
GALATIANS
Oh foolish Galatians how soon you forget
The gospel we preached when first that we met.
The message of grace, both precious and dear,
By faith are ye saved was what you did hear.
Now ravenous wolves among you have come
To pervert what was taught to the destruction of some.
My will these do question, my past brought to mind,
My harm to the Church as one of their kind.
On the road one day in a stream of light
Came the knowledge of Christ more precious than sight.
Now called by His grace the gospel to teach,
I did come among you lost souls for to reach.
The message I taught came not of a man
But revealed of Christ and not of my hand.
To God’s holy city, my time there quite rare,
Led by the Spirit my soul was laid bare.
The line has been drawn, by law or by grace,
To save the Church whole the struggle we face.
We gave not an inch and grace did endure,
God’s plan of salvation will forever be pure.
I for the Gentile, Peter for the Jew,
Give glory to God in all that we do.
No glory was found in Antioch that day
When Peter in fear would turn the other way.
He had to be told before all to hear
That faith in our Christ is what we hold dear.
Hypocrisy, you see, is for to disdain:
The law is now dead else He died in vain.
The fact he is lost must a man first know,
Else the path of salvation he never will go.
If all is by faith, then by faith alone,
Your works cannot save nor can it atone.
If ye be Christ’s, ye be Abraham’s seed;
Joint heirs with Christ to all things indeed.
The law was then given so that man might know,
Just what is this sin that we transgress so.
The law, so you see, was not meant to last,
From Moses to Christ the duration now past.
The law demands death, it cannot give life,
For all have come short by sin and by strife.
Heirs to the promise and salvation desired,
Faith in Christ Jesus is all that’s required.
When we as children were in bondage to the law,
A slave to be redeemed the need our Father saw.
When now the time was right the Son our God did send;
The Spirit of God did come into the hearts of men.
You came to know of God, your souls on high did soar;
How can you now thus do that which you did before?
Where is the love I saw when first to you I came?
Why seek ye now the law? Was all my work in vain?
I call to mind the sons, one bond and one be free,
One born the way of flesh, one to the promise be.
The son born of the slave can no inheritance share;
A blend of law and grace the Gospel will not bear.
Just as in time long past I hope that you can know
That flesh does war with spirit: You reap just what you sow.
Be strong in all you do; in Christ you can be bold.
To hold to just one part you must embrace the whole.
Now who has turned you from the path you were to take?
To walk without the Lord is sure a fool to make.
We taught the grace of God much more than you deserve.
The chains of sin did break now free our Lord to serve;
For all the law is here in just one little word.
When love for all abounds the law of God is heard.
There is a war, you see, waged in the hearts of all;
The flesh does fight the Spirit. How can a soul stand tall?
Alive in Christ the goal; to die in sin a must,
So crucify the flesh in God do put your trust.
Live not your life to self, return to that once found.
Pay heed the call of God, there is no sweeter sound.
Let those who walk in faith reach out to those who stray;
Restore their path by day lest you should fall away.
How sad to see one such as thinks themselves to be:
A king, or queen, or prince when only just like me.
Upon your own two feet each one of you must stand,
Fulfill the law of Christ and lend a helping hand.
Be not deceived my friends, God sees your very breath.
To sow the way of flesh will reap the gain of death.
In Christ you are made new, give up the way of strife.
To sow the way of Spirit will reap the gain of life.
So listen not to those whose purpose is to seek
To burden you with laws which even they can’t keep.
Let’s hear no more of such! It is behind us then!
And may the grace of Christ be with you all, Amen.
I THESSALONIANS
Thanks be to God for all of you—
Your work of faith in all you do.
If it could be, that all would hear,
With power of Spirit the Word so dear.
If all would turn, as you have done,
From faith in things to Him the Son.
If all could see with heart so true
The Light of Christ I see in you;
Then scarce is found my need to preach
Where word of you the news did reach.
From sins thus past the debt is paid,
To serve your God, the goal now made.
From wrath of God most sure to be,
My Savior comes, I wait for thee.
My will in doubt by some indeed
Who say I come for selfish greed.
Though not the case you may be sure;
And not in vain our motives pure.
Allowed of God and put in trust,
The gospel news to preach we must!
No great demands, though ours to make,
Ours was to give and not to take!
We came to you much like a dove,
As gentle as a mother’s love.
Both night and day we taught so bold—
The news of Christ with all our soul.
Our time, though short and troubled be,
Did bare much fruit for all to see.
Though I must here in Athens stay,
Timothy comes to strengthen your way;
That stand you may and stand you must,
Though some might try to break your trust;
That faith should grow and never wane—
Our time well spent and not in vain!
Now back from you good news he brings—
The bell of truth among you rings!
How love abounds and faith does grow;
My strength made strong these things to know.
Praise be to God His work in you.
May love shine forth in all you do!
Your hearts made strong in holiness wait
Our Lord to come from heaven’s gate.
To grow in Christ you know the way—
A way of life to live each day.
Have love for all, always sublime,
The Lord will come in His own time.
And sorrow not for those who sleep—
They are with Him, no need to weep.
The seventh trump-the sound we hear—
Heralds the coming of Him so dear.
The dead in Christ, a cloud do make;
He brings with Him and some to take.
This is the first of two to come,
Our bodies changed, but not for some.
To reign with Christ a thousand years,
Forever safe with no more tears!
But dwell not on when it will be—
For no one knows the day you see.
But know this thing and know it well:
That peace on earth, it comes from hell.
Be of the day, be of the light,
For those deceived are of the night.
So wear the armor and walk His path.
The love of Christ will keep from wrath!
Love those on high who guide your way
And live for Christ to do and say.
I pray that God-who called your name—
Will keep you whole and free from blame!
Till Christ does come this Age to end—
His grace be with you all, Amen.
II THESSALONIANS
Praise be to God for each of you—
The faith you show, the love you do!
When tried by pain you passed the test;
Worthy to stand with all His best.
In God’s own time He is not slake—
The pain dealt you will be dealt back.
So at that time our Lord does come.
The troubled do rest but woe to some!
Who know not God nor live in Christ
His wrath for those to pay the price.
To be denied near God to be,
No greater hell for those to see.
Because of faith, and by His grace,
You shall endure to see His face.
You are misled, I now must say,
The nearness of His Advent day.
Be not deceived a price to pay.
The false comes first to have his day—
His love and peace becomes the lie:
Take not his mark, this one deny!
The God on high, his claim to be,
Satan he is, pray can you see?
Now held in check his time to come—
When cast to earth the wrath for some.
His time, though short, he has his way—
With all the world until that day—
When Christ shall come and all will know—
That what was thought just is not so.
For all the lies, for all the tears,
Cast in chains a thousand years.
To know the truth, the real from false,
Comes by the Word: Our gain or loss.
He called you by His Word we preach,
Stand fast in Christ! The goal to reach.
I pray for you. You pray for me.
From harm by those no faith there be.
Your faith, His strength, when said and done
Will keep you from the evil one!
Be strong of mind. You must endure—
And wait for Christ in whom secure.
But till that time life must go on!
Our ways you have though we are gone.
I now for some do this repeat:
That not to work is not to eat.
Obey these words that now I write:
Be of one mind and in His might!
These words for you I now must end;
The grace of Christ be with you all, Amen.
HIS WAY
To seek is for to find,
To ask is to receive,
The key to life itself:
In Christ you must believe!
He came that we might know,
He came that we might see,
That try as may we might
No other way there be!
For years man had the law—
For years he could but fail.
The blood of goats was shed,
But all to no avail!
Then when the time was right,
Then just as it was said
By men of God back then,
Who by the Spirit were led.
A
