About this ebook
Something has been lost since the myth and legend has been hijacked by the mainstream media. The storytellers of old have been replaced by corporations who assimilate everything into fantasy. This could be nothing further from the truth. Through story, most if not all cultures pass on from generation to generation stories pertaining to how we interact with nature and others through the highest of morals and respect. With the vilification of this, it is up to the elders of cultures to make sure these stories infiltrate into the collective heart of our children, guiding them and allowing them to make their way through life with integrity. As we enter the twenty-first century, our childrens future is in peril, with an oversexualised media and mass marketing for all the wrong reasons.
This book of stories follows the life of a young girl whose imagination is healthy and very active, of her interaction with nature and the nature spirits, to raising children of her own and passing on sacred information to her siblings.
Carolyn Evita
CAROLYN EVITA was born in 1948 in Neath, South Wales, in the United Kingdom. She and her family immigrated to Australia and settled in the Blue Mountains in New South Wales, becoming Australian citizens. Her life in the lush, beautiful highlands of the southern Welsh countryside led to many magical experiences as a child. Her childhood was spent in a loving family who allowed the children to use their imagination in nature. As she got older, her life still held the magic of her experience. With her two young sons and her husband, Carolyn tried to emulate the atmosphere of her childhood into her own family. Carolyn always had a special communication with nature and the elementals and always knew she was never alone.

ACKNOWLEGMENTS
D uring the journey of formatting these words into some type of order to be called – Stories to Tell, I would like to acknowledge these remarkable people I have met on the way. To Lynelle Griffiths who has been my friend and confidant for over 30 years, thank you for being on the end of the phone at all hours of the day. To Jane Woods for spending the time looking for grammatical errors and enjoying the words. Thank you to Aaron Griffiths for his legal contribution. To Tess da Roza for her wonderful illustrations to enhance the stories. To Octavia O’Brien for allowing me to use one of her original paintings for the cover of the book and her contribution of propping me up when the journey was getting very difficult. And my sincere thanks to David O’Brien for the coffee, time and his ability to format the words into a wonderful publication to bring back some Magic into our World. Thank you.
WE LEARN BY STORIES
T o tell a story, little ones, requires patience, fortitude and trust. We have all three. Just the other day, I had a thought! How do we tell the children how to be children? They are now so grown up; it is a shame, because they can have all they want, when they want. How can this change?
FIRST we must tell them there is a different way to live, a more quieter and peaceful life for them if they want it. So little ones we are going to tell you the stories. Beautiful, beautiful souls. Small. Compact. Ready to be born. Mummy, Daddies have been chosen. Born. Loved. Cared for. Presents. Flowers. Brought home.
Grown into tiny infants. Grown into toddlers. Taller, smarter, designer models. Not all, by any means, but quite a lot. Hungry. Feed. I want: given. Money. No objection: how much? This is the way of the World, as we know it today. A sad place. NO FUN.
So what do we do about it? This is what we do! We grow into children and not miniature Adults. We play with other Children. We play with very simple toys, or boxes or paper. We just play in the fresh air. Sunlight. Moonlight. We understand little ones. Life needs to be much simpler. Less pressure. More freedom from chores.
Less pocket money. Less homework. Less criticism.
Less bullying. Less fuss. We need to grow like weeds. Flourish like weeds. Weeds have no pressure to perform or grow to specifications. Flowers. Even those beautiful plants cannot be left alone.
Always somebody needing to change the original design. Whether hot, cold or indifferent. Always complaints. Children: Change the design. The model is not
