About this ebook

She chased the world is a tragic yet poetic take on trauma. The story follows a girl through experiences that leave her breathless. She could never see herself as worthy, and it was the part of life that hurt the most. She lived within the confines of who she was rather than move forward with the world. She was haunted by her tragedies, as she tried to find herself beyond what her eyes could see. There was love and there was hate, but nothing seemed to fade. She could feel it on her skin while the memories still remained. No one could see her clearly, because she was hidden behind fragile eyes and a painted smile, as she chased the world unwillingly.

This book contains themes such as sexual abuse, gaslighting, heartbreak, loss of a loved one, and touches upon suicide. Reader discretion is advised.

We try to chase the world. It isn’t our intention to stay seated in one place, but it all becomes the same. It’s the tragedies of trauma that make us feel a certain way. We’re struck by disaster and our minds begin to fade. We fear for the worst to happen, but sometimes, we forget that life is made of pain. It’s a sad realisation that none of us can ever come to terms with. We fight the tears every single day, but the ache never goes away. It’s humanity, isn’t it? We’re individually flawed beyond what words can say. I just wish I didn’t have to be the one to remind you of the reasons why we break.

This is the story of the girl who chased the world. She was a beautiful disaster through and through, and oh my god, she had emotions that no one dared to ever feel. She wanted to be real but was never satisfied with the cards that she’d been dealt. She was beautifully designed yet a tragedy that no one
