About this ebook

Use natural healing remedies to speed up the recovery from a sunburn.

Even when we have taken all the precautions to practice "sunshine safety," we manage to end up being burnt. This is despite you have chosen to wear a suitable clothing, stay out of the sunlight, and stay in the shade.

The sun can be very powerful and some sunburns can be life threatening if they develop blisters, start weeping or if you start feeling dizzy and unwell.

You should immediately seek medical attention if you experience any of the following:

  • Weakness
  • Dizziness
  • A high temperature
  • Large blisters emitting pus
  • Bleeding blisters
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Exhaustion
  • Dehydration

Additionally, these symptoms indicate either a severe burn or sunstroke (also known as heat stroke.) A severe case of heat stroke can be fatal if left untreated.

In this book, I give you all kinds of advice and natural remedies for mild or minor sunburn including:

  • How taking a shower can aggravate a sunburn
  • How to use water to relieve a sunburn
  • How to handle peeling skin

How To Treat Sunburn Fast Naturally - Aileen Potter

Chapter 1: The Sun And Safety Issues

    The dangers...

When people first started taking ‘sunshine vacations,' the rich and famous – movie stars, fashion designers, and the like – made it increasingly fashionable to slowly bake yourself to a golden brown courtesy of the sun, and the browner you were, the more of a status symbol it was.

A deep, rich sun tan was widely accepted as a sign that you had a lot of money. After all, you were only going to get that tan if you could afford to take a lot of time off to go somewhere exotic and expensive for an extended period of time, because a week on the beach after a relatively short flight wasn't going to cut it.

What, after all, were sunbeds and the subsequent tanning booth revolution?

They were the 'secret' that most people didn't know about the 'tans of the stars,' something that only the rich and famous could even consider indulging in.

As a result, when sunbeds became available to the general public in the 1980s and 1990s as a result of the proliferation of ‘health clubs' (irony! ), sun bed centers, and solariums, it was no surprise that people flocked to them to get themselves baked to a golden brown on the cheap.

The sunbed 'revolution' allowed every man, woman, and child (and yes, millions of children used sunbeds on a regular basis, at least in the UK) to get the exact same color as their favorite celebrities for a fraction of the price, and who doesn't want to look
