You know the most surprising thing about raising a baby dragon?
I complained to my brother and Alpha, Asher. As if he hadn’t heard me complain about this same thing a hundred times before. That she started shifting shortly after birth. Something my oh-so-wonderful mate—note the sarcasm—didn’t think to tell me because it was ‘common knowledge.’

I threw the shirt I was folding at his head. Are you going to just sit there drinking beer, or are you going to help me fold clothes?

he said, but he leaned forward and tugged the basket of towels closer to him and got to work. Neither of us were unused to household chores, having spent years living the bachelor life together after Mom died. And there wasn’t any kind of bullshit about omega’s work
