Someone Like You - Sakari Lacross

    Poem # 1

    I just wanna stay single

    Like you do

Slow music playing in the background

    Like you do

Sitting on the phone with you

    Hearing your voice for hours

Seeing as I can't get to you right now

    I'll settle for something

    Telling you something

    Is better than nothing

    Over and over again

Even though I know I want more

    From you

    I'll keep listening

Hearing your voice on my phone line

Till the sun rise in the morning

Till you get sleepy in the morning

Till your yawning and you hang up

    Leaving me wanting

I'm trying to settle for something

    Knowing something is better

Than how you once left me

    With nothing

    No trace

    As to where you were

I'll be in love with a person this time

    Instead of an after image

I'm Settling This Time ~ Sakari

    Poem # 2

When can I really see you?

    I want you bad

    I wanna be beneath you

I want us to be sorry

I want us to feel like its alright

    Convincing words

    Blaming it on the champagne

    Thinking both ways

Is it really bad, or is it okay

    Telling me

    You've got mixed emotions

    Telling you

    I've got strong emotions

    Letting it be

    As you let me

    Letting me eat

    As you try to breathe

    This evening

    I've got Eve

    This evening

    I don't have to leave

    This EVEning ~ Sakari

    Poem # 3

Eve, where did you come from?

Why are we at it like this again?

    Off and on conversations

How do I keep finding you at whim

By chance do you secretly love me

    But can't even say it

    Taking me for granted

    Knowing I'll always say it

    Beautiful in a skin suit

I'll take you by the hand

And put you in my bed

    Thinking of you

Like you used to think of me

    Even if it's hardly now

    I still dream about you

Barricaded In This Cycle ~ Sakari

    Poem # 4

    All the pet names...

    All the attention...

I'm just trying to make you feel like...

    Mine...

    Blue Bird ~ Sakari

    Poem # 5

I might not ever hear your laugh

I might not ever see you cry

    Time has passed along

Though I remember, your favorite song

    Champagne in your lap

    Belaire Rare Rose

    He may have your body

    He may play his role

I have no one to hold

    While my bed is cold

    No matter who you date

How I feel, doesn't seem to get old

    I might not ever know

    What he gets from you

    Seven years have passed

    And he isn't through

    I wanna guess your love

    But I don't have a clue

    You tell me

    What I'm missing

    Tell me what he has

    Tell me what it takes

    Tell me why I still

Feel like I need to wait

    Seeing you in the light

While he lays with you at night

    You tell me

    How he's different

I Might Not Ever Know ~ Sakari

    Poem # 6

    Living life again

    Like I'm twenty one

    Searching for someone else's something

    Like I'm twenty one

    I'm stuck again

I've been lost so many times

    That I sit down

    And wait to be found

I might be chancing ~ Sakari

    Poem # 7

    You don't need everybody

    That you think you need

    All you need

    Is what I need

I need you all to myself

    Considering the fact

    That I'm willing

To give you all of me

Or all that I can obtain

    No strings attached

It can be an in the moment thing

If I caught you in the moment

Would you snap out of it

    Or give in to me

Lights off with neither of us

    Being able to see
