    Ch1  Introduction

God created the heavens, everything above which are all the reasons we need. God is indeed on Mars and that is why I write this book. Why Mars one may ask, for mine eyes haven’t even looked upon the sky to search and know which starlight is actually Mars. It just dawned on me that this is the latest talk across the internet, by the millions and worldwide next to the 2019 coronavirus pandemic. I’m just a green grasshopper, What do I know? Absolutely nothing; No fame, no wealth, no religious authority none whatsoever. Actually I am a child of God and hope to bring the readers of this book to an auspicious state of prosperity. After all that is what a green grasshopper does. Okay so it’s on the extreme optimist end nevertheless, this is how we all started at some point in time. God is our Creator and therefore have qualities of optimism. Rain or shine, good times and bad, we were all fashioned in the womb by our Creator to live and trust in His ways. God loves every human whether Judaism, Orthodox, Protestant, Catholicism, Buddhist, Hinduism, or a whole different set of worship altogether. God is among all and He sent forth His only begotten Son, Jesus to unite us in love. Jesus taught us in the Bible to love each other more so, our enemies and bless them without judgement. On the account write here by faith with hope for the love of God upon the human race throughout all eternity

Perhaps you’ll have a better understanding if you get to know a little about me. Frankly, absolute need of the means to buy myself a house or build one and live in it. Many of us long for those dreams here on Earth, those living in tents, sidewalk cement slabs, under the viaduct, on floating tires, abandoned houses, or anywhere possible. The challenge lays ahead and it’s an absolute mess except that it could only get better if you don’t mind my saying so. Notwithstanding, the intellectual focus at this time is affixed on the important matter that God is on Mars. Some may differ to say not in the least of change and all the same radical. Indeed, times have changed and to say not, Would that be like no hope for others? According to the *2021 Merriam-Webster.com Online Dictionary, the electronic meaning of not is a Boolean operator with only one variable that has the value one when the variable is zero and vice versa. Mathematically, Does that mean one is equal to zero? I’m convinced then that technologically by the same intangible belief aroused in lightning, God on Mars is in agreement by most if not all. By expanding my belief throughout the heavens, become evermore drawn unto Earth to sow the seeds long instilled in me. In truth, God created the universe as grains of sand filled the oceans below, likewise the stars and planets above. Surely, it is His will for the people to explore and fill the heavens which thus by far, the world have gazed upon over and through like Mars, the moon, and other planets posed habitable.

Getting back to Earth, How will my life keep to sustainability and maintain efficiency with everything happening here and now? Surely, we must take care of the little things in order to know how to handle the bigger things and that is the life to be on Mars. I’m not an expert on these things and surely not one to set as an example, like mentioned about me in the beginning. So take heed and hold the fort, trusting that God is on Mars. In other words, let’s start with an exhale. Yes, human beings need to breathe out all the toxins in our every thought, which would be the first step. By the way, I’ll occasionally explain issues that calls for radical change within our time. My pastor who is now retired, had a way of captivating minds to focus on her sermons. She began each Sunday worship by asking everyone to take a few moments and meditate on the Holy Spirit, softly repeating, Breathe in the Holy Spirit and breathe out all the bad things in your minds. Little things such as these can really have positive impact on one’s perspective of things, especially listening to it regularly on Sunday worships. The second one is slow down and take baby steps. Sort of like buckling up to take on that first step of flight into Mars. Whether in change or life altogether, remain calm and know that God is always near. Lastly, be positive and that is to think, talk, walk, everything on the right side of the shoulder.

Okay, so you do have a choice whether or not to follow things in such order because remember, I’m just a green grasshopper without that thingamajig called doctorate. Meditate on the Word of God and know that with Jesus, anything is possible. Nuff said, this green grasshopper is jumping off this ship to catch a glimpse and ride on the talked-about clear route to Mars. Any prominent concerns aroused in a clearance are within human reach, sort of obtaining a passport from the Almighty. The story began when our first generation parents arrived on United States of America soils in the early ‘70s along with myself and siblings. Upon attending elementary school, our classmates often asked if we came to America on a canoe. To make clarity, first dad, then mom, and then mother returned for the children. We all boarded on an airplane and headed to America, arriving here safe and sound. Our parents were with strong Christian faith backgrounds, having raised us with much discipline in that order. In spite of non fluency in the American language, they exercised speaking English at all times with the four of us. Mom and dad believed it would help us understand the contemporary culture, beyond educational factors. It really worked and we found other relatives become accustomed to this way of change. The most difficult part in moving to America was missing my maternal grandmother who we left behind. My parents later managed to send for her and everything was well.

Grandmother often told me that when a green grasshopper is in the house, it is a sign of good luck and prosperity. Later she added that it’s also a sign that sometime soon, good travelers will be visiting our home. We lived in a rustic pastel blueish-green house, just below a rocky mountain with a fairly big yard having lots of trees and some pasture. It was common for green grasshoppers to occasionally pop up somewhere in the house. Perhaps grandmother warded off most if not all, other types of grasshoppers because she explained it meant the opposite. At the time, it was customary for our relatives to stay with family on their travels. Oh my Fancy Nancy Posh Puppy! Words from the 2007 mentioned children’s storybook by Jane O’Connor, would best describe how we had many stay overs at our home. Our parents drove 15 miles to and from the airport for relatives. Guessed renting one’s own car was not the modest thing to do back then. It went on quite often for some time and patient kicked in, just for a few more months and then years until we were all through with that. Yes, the little green grasshopper stayed and perhaps will think in the least for old times’ sake, to have my relatives pick me up from the airport on an upcoming travel.

We had a great big family and recall several of our aunties take up sewing classes at nearby tailored shops. It was considered trendy to be able to sew among the relatives. Be that as may, we were always well dressed to church and family gatherings because mom knew how to sew. Money was scarce and our parents worked really hard for it, picking up every low to extreme labor type duties they could manage. Although America was much more advanced in technology and education, advantages came at higher costs. Paying rent or mortgage, meals, transportation, and everything else became the new regime, being that our prior life was more comfortable and self contained. Nevertheless, our new home on the US was in an upscaled town consisting of quiet neighborhoods and breathtaking ocean views. Despite the struggles to keep up with bill payments, they preferred to live in a district that provided better school opportunities for the four of us. Keeping the Christian faith and worship service on Sundays was the flame that kept the torch burning for our parents, to work as hard as they did with rarely days off. There were difficult times when we barely had food, but mom and dad never relied on the welfare system. They felt it was meant for those with worst circumstances and also because they didn’t want us to slack. With determination and industrial mindsets out of being self employed, gaping into the stars was not an option, even to imagine the eminent innovations out of purchasing a telescope for their children. Whatever we asked though, mom and dad humbly provided by the Grace of God.

As in the norms duration, the first time we had any exposure to planets and the solar system was probably from early childhood school years. As a minority came to learn many things from watching multiple after school TV programs. Enough to fill my mind like the animated heroic character, Buzz Lightyear’s positive encouragement phrase from the 1995 American comedy film Toy Story, To infinity and beyond! Neither my siblings or I pursued career in the space field, much less flying overall. Nonetheless, it may be encouraging to follow in the ways as told by a green grasshopper. By our teen years to young adult, my family were pretty much Americanized. From independence to patriotic, freedom and women rights, to the hilt of sky’s the limit, just as a little green grasshopper would say. Des’ree Weekes and Ashley Ingram’s You Gotta Be became the most played song in my vehicle. My younger sibling sang it all the way to law school, accomplishing bar in two US states. Twenty years ago, had a dream that my sister’s soon to be born child at one time, would be an astronaut. Watching the stars and universe on the HISTORY channel still left me with great amazement and wonders. For the time being have a niece enlisted in the US Air Force and an aunt that flies airplanes. Can’t help but imagine the possibility of the human race living on Mars or even to find life on another planet. Fast forward, our loving parents have gone to be with grandmother and the Good Lord in Heaven. What did we learn about Mars from them? They often taught us that God is everywhere, in the stars and moon, the wind, trees, sky and sea, which includes the Mars. Don’t let that persuade you, other than those very words from perhaps your own parents or grandparents.

On the other hand, technology have awesomely flourished here on Earth. Living in America is a privilege that would only call for thankfulness and prayers for God’s continued blessings of abundance upon our country. America the Beautiful hymn lyrics by Katherine Bates of immense heavens with mountains, grains and fruits explains it all. The United States of America is one of the few richest country in the world, providing aide far and across global nations. Undoubtedly America is a strong hand in reaching out to the third world although, a remnant amount points to our own backyard. There are those in desperate need to take notice, such as helping the desolate and unfortunate ones happening now in our country. Everyone learns when flying with children and emergency calls for use of plane equipped oxygen masks, first apply it on self prior to the child. This is to avoid the possibility of faint if aide help to child first. I can’t think of a better way to illustrate the significance in this analogy.

Moving along with Mars in thought; My involvement with faith based committees revealed clear foundations how to initiate help for the needy, which simply calls for our actions and a little effort. Believe it or not, money heals whether rich, poor, famous or not. We must reevaluate branding money as root of all evil. To clarify, money is merely a note which holds value by trust and is used to trade with others for goods and services. Consequently, love humans and where there is money, use it to help others and that is where the value of the gold is at. For what it’s worth, we may someday or not come across intelligent life beings from another planetary system, if haven’t already visited by them first. Many of us are left with astounding curiosities and for the time being here on Earth, we need to take care of a few things which requires money. We must come to realize money builds governments, likewise with education, technology, and science. It pays for the making of rockets along with all the necessary things to keep astronauts safe. It plays an important role in the preparations for our children or grandchildren that will be traveling to Mars some day. Money makes money and it works the same for everyone as a whole.

With all said, we are advancing fast but so is the growing number of joblessness and homeless. Society is quick to push the issue that it is out of unemployment, which does have some significant portion in it. However, we must look deeper into the matter on an individual basis which brings us to behavioral and social inclinations. In other words, it is time to invest the abundances of our great country towards the youth. This calls for community programs that are one step ahead to built up social weaknesses and thus enhance behavioral concerns. The truth of the matter is creating an environment relative to that of a church place. One may learn that aside from the spiritual aspect that a person receives from attending Sunday worship, it also teaches manners. How that works is we learn to sit still and pay attention, listening to someone speak for about an hour or so. Over time, we immediately behave with the tendency to remain quiet when another is speaking more so, to take a seat and be with calming inclinations. There are other beneficial dispositions influenced from after church service fellowship such as choir practice and Bible study. Those having degrees in the social and behavioral fields may come up with far better ideas, but it is really quite plain. An example is a cooking class for the women while their husbands gather as a church social group, also providing day care for their children in the same setting. It is keeping everyone occupied with family oriented lifestyles rather than the youth going out to places that may suggest spending money, alcohol and drugs, or worse. There are probably some of these or similar programs already put into effect. Although, there aren’t enough and should be promoted with much more emphasis.

The younger generations however, love to party and it is what it is. Most of the time, they choose not to attend these type of programs because they’d rather be at a party where there is alcohol. Thus, an old school approach is educate these things in a more appropriate manner. Stretch out the schedules to adventurous events such as parties on Mondays and romantic dinner settings on Fridays, etcetera. Dinner nights would allow one glass of wine and Monday parties may limit to two drinks with a designated driver. The rest of the schedule is no alcohol, or anything to the effect of managing the consumption of alcohol. Although the emphasis mentioned requires money, it does have its limits and plainly is not everything. God on the other hand, continues to walk alongside our trials and tribulations, holding one up to withstand the works of the wicked one. Jesus taught us to be satisfied with the things we already have. In our age and time, it calls for good judgement, to be conservative and spend wisely. It includes cleanliness, no matter the wretched appearances of an old hut of a house or tent one lives, to keep it well organized and neat. Let’s face it, the Sugarhill Gang’s 1979 Rapper’s Delight song lyrics tells one of how he or she may feel when their friends come to visit the home and not want to swallow anything offered. We must therefore, do the best with what one have and clean up our acts. Hoarding is definitely out of the question and if we already have a couch, there’s no need to have five of them stored in your backyard. Same as with beat up cars, old tires, rusted dressers and filing cabinets. Wat we gonna do wit all dat trash? One will not become a millionaire with
