The Great Tribulation - Dan Revela

CHAPTER 1: WHAT IS THE GREAT TRIBULATION?

The Great Tribulation is a three-and-a-half-year period at the end of the world's existence, as ordained by God, to test the faith and dedication of those claiming to be Christians, and to refine, believers during that time. Believers during this period, will be exposed to Satanic rule and power, and countless millions are going to persecuted, tortured, and killed for not worshipping Satan.

The core message of the Biblical book, Revelation, is one of unparalleled persecution and killing of countless believers - in certain Bible translations also called the elect, during the last three and a half years of the world's existence. It is called the Great Tribulation because the most believers ever, are going to be oppressed and killed in a very short period for the sake of their faith, and if that time had not been shortened, in other words were not limited to just three and a half years, no one would have survived.

1.1 The Great Peace before the Great Tribulation.

The Great Tribulation is preceded by a time of unprecedented peace in the Middle East, a time when Israel will be living in peace with its Arab neighbors.

Daniel 9 Verse 27 reflects on a brilliant man, a prince, (probably a  revered world leader with exceptional negotiating skills}, who manages to mediate a final peace treaty between Israel and many others:27 "And he will enter into a binding and irrevocable covenant with the many for one week (seven years), but in the middle of the week he will stop the sacrifice and grain offering [for the remaining three and one-half years]."

We know the prophecy relates to Israel because in the second half of the verse it is mentioned that the same prince, in the middle of the week, therefore three and a half years later, halts the (Jewish) practices of daily sacrifices to God and with it also the peace treaty. The Israeli context is confirmed by Jesus' prophetic message in Matthew 24 Verse 15 to 18 where He refers to the above quoted text in Daniel: 15 "So when you see the abomination of desolation [the appalling sacrilege that astonishes and makes desolate], spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the Holy Place (let the reader understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains [for refuge]. 17 Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things that are in his house [because there will not be enough
