()
About this ebook
The chronology of prophetic events is detailed here in a manner that has never been outlined before. The events unfold one after another just as they are written in the Bible. The books of Daniel and Revelation, and passages from Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zechariah, Matthew and Pauls epistles fit in to make the end time scenario very vivid. The timelines show what is about to happen.
You will find the answers to questions such as: When is the rapture of the Church and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ? What connection has the current rise of terrorism with the last days? Is America in prophecy? Then you will read in detail the coming Gogs war against Israel and how GOD defends his chosen people. You will know the identity of the revived Roman Empire and find a new interpretation of the Great Tribulation. And finally, you will feel the drama of the return of Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords.

FOREWORD
W hen it comes to books about the Bible, perhaps no topic is more engaging to believers and non-believers alike as the end times. Believers are drawn to the epic story of GOD’s mercy and ultimate judgment upon a sinful world. Non-believers, while continuing to deny the power of GOD, cannot help but turn to the Bible as world events continue to fulfill its prophecies.
In the pages that follow, Mr. Theodosius Katzir tackles this popular, but often confusing topic of the end times, making it easy to understand through a combination of straight-forward analysis and clear, visual timelines. While there have been countless books on the end times in recent years, few have managed to speak with such clarity and insight in light of recent events such as the terrorists attacks on America, France and the rest of the world. A clear understanding of future world events is more important now that it has ever been.
I have known the author for fifteen years ever since I moved from the big city to our suburb. He is one of the fifty-or-so stolid members of our little independent Baptist Church. I would soon learn that he lives just down the street from me. As far as I know, the author has not been formally trained as a theologian or a pastor, but like me, he has studied the Bible as a layman and faithful church member for many years.
So the question comes to mind. Should a layman take it upon himself to study and write a book about such a weighty topic as the end times? And even more importantly, why should we, as busy people, choose to buy and read his book when there are hundreds, perhaps thousands of other books on eschatology written by pastors, professors, theologians with decades of research and Biblical scholarship behind them?
I can think of two reasons. First of all, a layman is sometimes easier to understand than an expert. Experts often write for other scholars using terminology which is not readily understood by ordinary folks without a very big dictionary close at hand. Layman on the other hand, invariably write for other laymen. So if you are not a professor or a theologian, the Narrative of the Last Days might just be the perfect book to help you understand the end times.
But the second reason is more important. All believers should study the end times, not just one in the Bible college. As it says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
We are commanded to read and study the whole Bible, from cover to cover.
Not only are we commanded to study the end times, but to study world events as well. There is a day approaching when Christ will come again and call all believers, living and dead, to join him in the clouds. There is also a coming day when Great Tribulation will descend upon this earth bringing great wars and suffering. There is coming a day when Satan will be bound and Christ will reign on earth for a thousand years. And there is also coming a day when all evil will be banished once and for all and Jesus Christ will reign forever.
As Jesus explains to his disciples in Matthew 24, we are to be aware of these coming events in the world and to watch for his return. So this is another reason why you should read Mr Katzir’s book. He is a keen observer of world events, and has done an excellent job of connecting these recent world events to the prophecies in the Scriptures. There is always some speculation in this process. For example, some of the details Mr. Katzir envisions, such as the Islamic World Empire, has not yet come about. Nevertheless, the goal of such study and speculation remains the same. As Christians, we are to be vigilant. We are to be faithful. And we are to watch for Christ’s imminent return. Maranatha.

PREFACE
I have a very keen interest in Bible prophecy since I became a Christian in 1981. I tried to determine when is the Lord’s second coming but without success; so I am not giving an exact date this time either. The frequent occurrence of world events directly comprising the signs of the times heightened my interest to learn more.
We are expected by GOD to know these things. Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for knowing the weather, yet never understood the signs of the times. He was expecting them to teach the end time prophecies to the congregation. Similarly, pastors, preachers and theologians are mandated to do the same for their flock. However many teachers hide from their responsibility behind the impossibility of knowing the exact date of the Lord’s return. But end-time prophecies is not only about Jesus’ second coming but also many aspects concerning the Church, Israel and the whole world in the last days.
I studied several commentaries, books and interpretations of prophecy experts; however there seems to be no agreement on the timing of prophetic events among them. Several camps of interpreters, premil, postmil, amil, futurist and preterist, vie for the common Christians’ acceptance of their interpretation. There is also confusion in some terms; for example, the prophesied war in Ezekiel 38-39 is called the Gog and Magog war, Magog invasion, Armageddon, or World War III. Somehow, there must be an interpretation that is correct.
As I studied the Scriptures, the picture of the end times became clearer to me as four years of study passed by. Difficult Bible passages became simpler; the timelines of events in Daniel and the Revelation do correlate; and the symbolic language in prophecy became real and vivid. History, present day realities, the movement of Islam for world domination, and world events play significant parts in the interpretation of the prophecies. The Biblical basis of particular events are laid out; but in-depth theological discussion is lacking. As a layman writing about an important topic as Biblical eschatology, I am able to present an independent view based on the Bible, not based on the interpretation of respected experts and scholars. You will find significant differences.
This Narrative of the Last Days presents a scenario of what is going to take place starting with the Gog’s war against Israel prophesied in Ezekiel 38-39 until the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. You will find the prophetic events unfold one after another such as the aftermath of the war, the final return of the Jews to Israel; the emergence of the revived Roman Empire; the rapture, the 7-year Great Tribulation and the Millennium. These events are presented in timelines that are very easy to understand.
You will find the answers to questions such as: When is the rapture of the Church? Will Christians suffer the terrible Great Tribulation? What connection has the current rise of terrorism with end time prophecies? Is America in prophecies? You will know the identity of the revived Roman Empire and find a new interpretation of the Great Tribulation based on the timelines of Daniel and the book of Revelation. You will read how the fury of GOD’s wrath is administered to the sinful world. And finally, you will feel the drama of the second coming of Jesus Christ.
