Thank you, to all my family and friends. All we ever want is to be heard, seen, and known. And I hope to do just that through the words and stories in this book which are dedicated to you.

A writer—and I believe, generally all persons must think that whatever happens to him or her is a resource. All things have been given to us for a purpose, and an artist must feel this more intensely. All that happens to us, including our humiliations, our misfortunes, our embarrassments, all is given to us as raw material, as clay, so that we may shape our art.

    Foreword

No one really knows when or where astrology originated. I suspect there is actually no answer to the question. It would be like trying to put a date on when our species first became truly human. In fact, I think these two questions are really the same. It doesn't strain the imagination too much to think of some ape-like creature on the African veldt gazing up at the night sky with a look of wonder in her eyes. That long-lost moment marks the day when astrology was born, and that sense of wonder is still the heart of the matter.

Millennia later, but still long, long ago, someone noticed that kids born in the winter cold had some of that winter in their souls – and that they were generally different from the children of summer. Women noticed the correlation of the cycles of their bodies with the cycles of the moon, and I have often reflected that this visceral, biological attunement to the heavens is what gives females the edge in grasping astrology.

Along came the agricultural revolution and the birth of cities. Perhaps the king had a son and his first cry happened to coincide with the rising of Mars – people notice things of that nature with the children of kings. Mars is reddish, a color we naturally associate with blood and passion. And that king’s son went on to become warlike, and victorious in war, leaving a trail of blood behind him. Some celebrated that quality in him, while others lamented it. But they were all seeing the same thing: Mars became the god of war, and people noticed that the sky at the prince’s birth had sent a message about him in advance.

Simple astrological observations such as these gradually accumulated. The principles became formalized. Astrological jargon – and astrological mathematics – gained traction. Stonehenge rose up, built around the cycles of the moon and the seasons. The three great Pyramids rose up, aligned perfectly with the three stars of Orion’s belt. Angor Wat, New Grange – by instinct, our far-flung ancestors were trying to align life on earth with the messages and pattern of the heavens

You have a child. One day you notice that your child is not truly a child any longer. The observation is unmistakable – but exactly when did the child grow up? No one can really point to a certain day as the answer to that question. Astrology grew up in precisely the same way. It all started with that ape-like creature on the African veldt. It moved through the pyramids and entered the Digital Age. And it is still a work-in-progress. It is still growing. Each generation adds a little bit more to the system.

We have come a long way from that star-struck hominid in the Olduvai Gorge of Africa – but my prayer is that we don’t get too far from her. She still has a lot to teach us.

Modern astrologers spend a lot of time in front of computer screens. Many live in brightly-lit cities, where you might notice a star or two if you happen to remember to look up. Looking at the glorious, star-strewn celestial dome overhead, that proto-human’s soul was stirred by a sense of sheer wonder at the mysterious, star-strewn celestial dome overhead. What was it trying to tell her? What was its message?

It is so easy to lose sight of that transcendent, reverent, riddling emotion while sitting in front of a computer. And that transcendent, reverent, riddling emotion is the heart of astrology. Without it, we become little but talking heads.

Chrystal Pynn lives close to nature. She lives with horses. She lives under the stars. She was born at the rising of a Full Moon in mystical Pisces. She is a modern human being, but that wise hominid on the African Veldt lives on inside her.

Read on and you will see what I mean.

    Introduction

The one conversation we’ve been having since the beginning of time, do the planets really influence our personal lives based on the day we were born? Do we have our own unique fingerprint in the sky that plays out in cycles throughout our lives? A suspended moment in time that is only yours or only mine. Each star is one-of-a-kind, and yet the whole sky shares a common interest that makes us a tribe.

I found the language of the stars during a radical change in my life. Something strange began to happen, almost like sign language from heaven. I began to see repeating cycles, symbols, and extraordinary coincidences coming into my life. Little by little, like breadcrumbs on a path, I followed the yellow brick road that led me to where I am today.

When we look into the heavens, we see the timing, faithfully, sunrise-to-sunset guiding us in our everyday life. Through the weather, through our crops, through the ocean, and ultimately through our hearts.

Each chapter written in this book has common themes throughout each sun sign, and yet, each chapter is unique, written with a life of its own. You may not find yourself in every chapter, but there just may be a moment where it all makes sense.

    Aries - Scapegoat

    March 21-April 21

During the 2000-year period of the Old Testament; which is considered the Age of Aries; An eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth ruled the land. In all the portraits we see Moses in, we see him holding a ram's horn, representing the age of Aries.

The end of the Age of Aries ushered in the Age of Pisces, the New Testament, and we learned about forgiveness, compassion and redemption but needed a scapegoat to set us free.

    ARIES INTRODUCTION

If there is one word to describe Aries's best, it is the scapegoat. The scapegoat, while innocent, takes on the burdens of the world. Being born a warrior of the first order, Aries understands what it takes to stand in the gap courageously under fire. You see, the internal workings of the Ram fuel with unquenchable fire.

His identity is on the line, often attracting situations requiring their Martian nature to rise from within and make split decisions to save the day.

Unfortunately for Aries, it is often through adversity and tragic disappointments that they ultimately find their identity.

Knowing who you are and being who you are, are two different things. Finding their identity becomes a life-long quest for our first child on the wheel.

They seem to attract danger around every corner, but somehow, they come out on top. Living from one adrenalin rush to another for years can take its toll. They ultimately have to learn that timing is everything and enjoy the moments at the bottom while climbing to the top.

    ARIES DESCRIPTION

Aries, a cardinal sign, is the first fire sign of the wheel, which we know the hot-tempered planet Mars rules. Aries represents the age period from 0-7. From the first appearance, you might think Aries has a sweet, childlike quality.

They're playful, youthful, and are the life of the party. But underneath, there is a hero, waiting for the opportunity for the heat to rise. They have no problem showing off; they love the attention. There is no topic they won't be excited to talk about; as long as there is enthusiasm in the conversation, they can stay in the game. If only we measured life through an obstacle course instead of an S.A.T. test.

They learn early on how to use their contagious enthusiasm to capture the hearts of others. They love to inspire and initiate progress. They do not accept defeat and they can become difficult to reason with unless you assure them that they are still in the lead.

Because Mars rules weaponry, they are often fascinated with knives, guns, and sharp tools. They have to learn to control their anger because it can be their first instinct. They live on the edge, gambling their lives in more ways than one.

    ARIES BIRTHSTONE:

The diamond is Aries birthstone, and it symbolizes purity, invincible spiritual power. Diamond is the stone of being faithful and committed.

    ARIES-FAMOUS CELEBRITIES

Some of our famous Aries Celebrities are Sir Elton John, Stephen Tyler, Francis Ford Coppola, Russel Crow, and Collin Powell.

Females: Reece Witherspoon, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Kate Hudson, Kourtney Kardashian, Bettie Davis, Joan Crawford, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Eric Clapton, Maya Angelo, and Lady Gaga, to capture just a few.

    ARIES HEALTH

Aries rules the head, and as a result, they often suffer from headaches. The Arian glands are sub-renal that pump adrenalin through the bloodstream in an emergency.

It can cause a rush of anger or impulsive energy, which is where Aries gets the reputation for being quick to anger, quick to respond to an emergency, and quick to be at the right place at the right time.

This is also why Aries have to be careful of head injuries throughout their lives. Aries can also have teeth problems due to their jaw set and must be addressed at a young age.

The other interesting commonality I have seen in many Aries is a form of narcolepsy. They suddenly fall asleep while in a conversation or while driving. They can be tough to wake up; with such powerful energy flowing through their bodies all day, it must be exhausting.

They need a lot of sleep to recharge their energizer batteries. Aries is usually pretty happy go lucky, but a couple of times a year, namely, March and November, they can feel like they need to find sanctuary.

    ARIES APPEARANCE

You won't believe that they grow into healthy, robust, athletic beings. Even our Aries lady has a muscular physique. The planet Mars creates full physical features. Mars is masculine energy and is what gives both male and female Aries very defined
