About this ebook
In Out of the Black Pot, Tonia is drugged and raped by the love of her life. Would you forgive him?
Tonia goes into hysteria when she learns that the love of her life was also her rapist. The author’s depiction of her reaction is genius. As she held his hand and tries to bring him back to his senses, he affirms pleadingly that this was indeed the truth.
Tonia thinks his confession must be a prank but her best friend’s countenance revealed that it was not. Her only question was “Did Juliet know all along?” Did her best friend turned sister know who her rapist was and watch her fall in love with him?
Out of the Black Pot is an exciting story filled with unexpected twists and turns. It is the story of resilience and the unravelling of a love that was birthed in the most unlikely circumstances. It is the story of standing out with courage and winning when all is already lost.
Tonia carries us through an inner strength that gets her through troubling circumstances to a much better place.
Out of the Black Pot is your riveting read for times when you need to know that your shine is around the corner.

To God almighty the giver of knowledge and to my loving family especially my strong and optimistic grandmother who never gave up on me when the whole world thought I would be nonexistent but made sure that I survived against all odds while I was battling with my life.
To my loving, caring and encouraging husband who supports my dreams one hundred percent.
And mostly to the people out there who are struggling and striving to scale through the huddles of life come rain come shine. If nobody does, I understand your pains.
Never give up on yourself. There is always an end to every story. Make sure you write yours in a way that the world will embrace and make you a positive reference to it at end.
Acknowledgements
I give glory to Almighty God the giver of life and knowledge for my existence. For it is a miracle that I’m alive today against every belief that I would not scale through my first year on earth. To Him be all the glory for his immense and rare grace upon my life. My life has been and will continue to be a testimony to your Glory.
I will not but continue to appreciate my one in million angelic grandmother who through the help of God fought against all adversaries aiming at theexistence of an innocent tiny little thing
as I was always referred to in my dialect during my early life. Everybody gives you credit for the woman I have become and I will continue to celebrate you after God for your strong willpower. I am happy you are alive to witness me growing into an enviable woman. I continue to ask God earnestly to sustain you for more of this. For surely the hand that works must reap the fruits of its labour.
Also, to the loving family I grew in which does not push me behind the curtain but give me equal opportunity to live like any other normal child out there. Thank you so much, your labour of love has succeeded in making a strong virtuous, ambitious woman of the tiny little Bunmi
. I am glad I did not become a nonentity that will disappoint your expectations. I pray that you shall live to see every of your children including me,making positive and enviable impact in life.
To my parents, I say a big thank you, for bringing me into this world; it is the first and best opportunity for me to fulfil the purpose of creation. Thank you, daddy and mummy.
I give as much credit as possible to my supportive, loving and caring husband and friend. Indeed, you are a friend for life. I never for once regret vowing to make you my life partner. And to my loving children too. They have been a source of joy and anticipation for me to aim higher in life.
Lastly, I will love to extend my gratitude to Prudence Onaah Prudent Pens
for her time and effort in making this book a success. You are the best editor anyone can have and you have not just portrayed yourself as just ordinary contractual partner, you have in every way encouraged me as a good friend will do. I am certain that this work and every other you will embark upon will resound your fame worldwide to the glory of God our maker. May the grace and wisdom of God continue to increase in your life in all ramifications. (Amen).

PREFACE
Tonia found herself growing up in an environment best described as a slum or better still a brothel. She had never known a different life and every day seemed like a challenge. The only source of living in her little world was prostitution. Although she was a fully grown woman now and she knew that there was a different world out there, she couldn’t escape her reality. She felt helpless but she had a strong will and held on to the little strand of hope that came from within her. It was her conviction that there had to be a better life.
Tonia wasn’t alone though. There was a good number of young girls in this world. The girls had different backgrounds and they varied from children who were abandoned by single mums to runaway girls who had nowhere else to go. It was like a huge trafficking operation was going on here. The fascinating part of Tonia’s story is that her circumstances were different from these other girls. She was neither a runaway child nor an abandoned one. The first waking moments that she could remember were in the house. She has had all her life in the house with no parents, no family, no friends or anybody except the people in the HOUSE OF HUMOUR as it is called by the insiders.
The house had little kids whose job was to hawk from dusk till dawn every day.
The older girls practiced prostitution. But there were also ladies who not only practiced prostitution but got pregnant and sold the babies on delivery. This way, everyone earned their living in the house.
Miss Folake who is also known as Mama Rock is the head of this house and she always promised the inmates A LIFE OUTSIDE THE WORLD OF REJECTS.
Tonia was a fascinating member of the house because it was hard to place which segment of the house she belonged to, the prostitutes, or the baby factories. Now that she was all grown up, she couldn’t continue to hawk with the kids. But she found it hard to join the other ladies. If she would continue to live in the house however, she had to earn her living. It was the only life that she knew. Would Tonia survive the torment that is to follow?Join me as I take you through a life of Possibility Inside The Impossible.
It’s indeed, crystal pure water out of a black pot...

Pre-Scenario
Light opens on two young girls tied to chairs with a woman sitting in front of them and two men standing behind them.
Woman: You both don't know exactly who you are dealing with. I've dealt with a lot of girls like you. The interesting end of the story is always the same... They give in. (Laughs mockingly) I'm waiting for yours. Let's see how long you can endure. Probably one week more.
Girl 1: (Raises her head weakly) we will never give in unless you kill us.
Woman: No! I'll never do that. You know, I could get you both tied down and do whatever I want with your body. But I will never do that. It will make me look like a loser and a weak idiot. So I will break you bit by bit till you're broken to pieces.
Girl 1: Go to hell
Guy 1: (Slaps her hard)
Girl 1: (Wails in pain)
Woman: (Turns to the guy) are you crazy? You don't have to do that to her face. She needs to look good when she resumes business.
Guy 1: She's been very stubborn
Woman: She's not the first you will break. That's your job.
Guy 2: We could just lay them right here and do the business. They will have no choice after that.
Woman: You are a fool. Don't you get it? That will make me look like a coward. Let them give in by themselves.
Guy 2: It’s been ten days now with no food, no water, no bath, and they have not given up.
Girl 1: We'll rather die here.
Woman: (Looks at the second girl who has been quiet and gestures to the two guys) get them to the main gate. Have them stripped and keep them there for three days. Keep guard on them. Anybody can touch any part of their body except the under. (Turns and starts leaving)
Guy 2: (Laughs) the open strip method. I love that! (Goes to the girls)
Girl 2: No! No!! Please, I give up, I will do it.
Woman: (Turns back)
Girl 1: (Looks sharply at girl 2) No! You can't. Please endure a bit more, please.
Girl 2: (Shakes her head tearfully) I'm sorry. We can't both win.
Girl 1: We've always won together. Let's do it again. We will win!
Girl 2: (Shakes her head again and turns to the woman) I give in. (Crying) I will do what you want. But you have to let her go.
Girl 1: Stop!!! Stop it, you can't do that.
Woman: (To the guys) untie her.
Guy 1: (Unties her)
Girl 1: (To girl 2) please, don't do this, please. You're stronger than this threat.
Girl 2: (Goes to her) No, you're stronger. I'm sorry. Someone has to take the fall and I can't let you. You're stronger than I can imagine. You kept pushing me up till the end. (Stands and faces the woman frankly) you have to let her go.
Woman: (Mockingly) Greater love has no one that a girl lays down her body for her friend. Don't worry, I'll let her go.
Guy 2: (To the woman) what are you doing?
Woman: You think she'll survive after her friend has sacrificed herself for her? (Turns to girl 2) take it off.
Girl 1: Oh no Juliet. You can’t do this. (She sobs loudly)
Girl 2: (Ignores her friend and turns to the woman) Here?
Woman: (Looking at girl 1) she has to know the level of sacrifice you're making for her.
Girl 1: (Crying profusely)
Girl 2: (Cleans her face and gives the woman a dreadful look as she starts
