Reviews for Rabbits - A Pet Rabbit Handbook For Complete Beginners
3 ratings1 review
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Like any overbearing parent, I Internet searched like crazy on my American Fuzzy Lop. Didn't get far into the book before I decided that I may be feeding myself incorrect information. One sign was the mention of cat when it should have said rabbit which made me wonder if this book was copied and pasted from another title the author may of written. Second was the mention of using newspapers, as I read from other sources, newspapers can contain harmful chemicals that can make the rabbit sick and possibly die. So after those two errors, I opted out of reading this book and decided to write this review as a warning for those for where this may be their first rabbit book.

Giving these furry friends extra affection, care, and attention are only a few of the rabbit care essentials you should remember before adopting them. You must also devote more time and resources to their special needs. They have different needs than humans, but food, shelter, and even medicines are their primary necessities. You should also ensure that they are eating the right foods in the right amounts. Obesity and other health issues can result from eating too much food. Obese does (female rabbits) may have difficulty conceiving.
However, not all pet rabbits have the same rabbit care requirements. Baby rabbits and unsprayed rabbits need additional and distinct care rabbit care basics.
In contrast to popular belief, having rabbits as pets necessitates a financial investment. You will need enough time to familiarize your rabbit with his surroundings and allow it to run around the house, but you must ensure that your rabbit is protected from harm. Rabbits are very intelligent and have emotions, so make sure you remember their feelings as well.
Rabbit weight varies according to size; some rabbits weigh 3 to 12 pounds, which is the average size, which is 9 to 12 pounds, and larger rabbits can weigh as much as 22 pounds or more and be much bigger and heavier than cats or dogs. A smaller rabbit probably needs less space than a larger rabbit, but small bunnies, like big bunnies, need more patience in training.
Rabbits must have an unregulated diet plan since pellets are very high in calorie content and the rewards of food such as fruits and vegetables are far superior to any kind of human sweets. However, due to the high caloric content of these foods, you can only feed them to your rabbits in limited quantities. Otherwise, your rabbit would become very sick. Timothy hay and oats are important components of your rabbit's diet. The
