About this ebook

Newly married, Elizabeth Bennet is now Mrs. Fitzwilliam Darcy, and though she might have found the very deepest love in his arms, there is still room for the old vexations of the past to rear their heads.

The early days of any marriage are spent in discovery, and Elizabeth and Darcy are no different. Though she might be married, nothing can tame Elizabeth's sharp tongue and sense of humor. Her husband is a stoic figure who craves order, control, and, to Elizabeth's surprise, submission.

Will Elizabeth be able to resist challenging her husband's commands, and what punishment might she suffer at his hands...

Vexed Affections is part one of four in a new sensual and steamy Pride and Prejudice variation that is best enjoyed by readers over 18 years of age.

    ABOUT VEXED AFFECTIONS:

I t is a truth, universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. - Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

But what happens once he’s got one? What if his new wife is a little more than he bargained for?

Begin the adventure in part 1 of 4 in this off-canon of our favorite newlyweds: Lizzie and Darcy! This is a slow-burn that heats up with each installment. Mind that cliff.

    CHAPTER ONE

M y darling Lizzie - married at last and to such a fine gentleman too. I always said Mr. Darcy was a gentleman of the most discerning taste. Did I not say that just the other day? A gentleman of taste, that’s our Mr. Darcy!

The shrill voice of Mrs. Bennet rang out through the corridors of Pemberley, echoing in the empty rooms as if searching for all those tender ears who had yet to hear her.

With each sharp crow of satisfaction and boisterous laugh of glee that made its way to her corner of solace and assaulted her ears, Lizzie cringed.

Mama will never change, she whispered to herself softly.

The wedding breakfast had long been over and most guests had taken their leave, but Mrs. Bennet remained content to hold court from the overstuffed chair in the parlor.

The gracious estate of Pemberely stood regally before her as she gazed upon the grounds from the window. It was the first moment of freedom and solitude that she had found for herself in the last three days and she felt strange.

Her mother and sisters had taken charge of planning the wedding breakfast with an enthusiasm that only a household of marriageable daughters could endeavor to have. Each little detail had elicited a flurry of reactions and opinions to be hashed over and analyzed so as to have the maximum effect for social standing.

But Lizzie had cared for none of it.

The flowers and the breakfast meats. The lace and the embroidery. The guests.

None of it mattered to her.

    She placed
