It was early in his adolescence that he started the practice of writing in a journal daily. It was through this discipline that he discovered his talent for writing. It is often said all great things arise out of tragedy, and so is the case with Learn2Love2Live Together. I remember like it was yesterday. I had just lost my job; my wife and I were going thru a divorce. Also, I would later lose my father to cancer. As with all diamonds, their formation requires incredible pressure; similarly, I was under extreme duress. I clearly remember what seemed like being in a bottomless pit and looking up as I finally hit rock bottom. At this time, I had three back-to-back DUI's and was quickly spiraling out of control. During this time, I became isolated from family and friends; eventually, I shut down and began to take a serious hard look at myself inwardly. Thus, I began my journey into self-discovery. Knowledge of self, rooted in the heart, I started the process of internal healing and love and appreciation for self and others. As I continued to mature in my heart, I increased my understanding that all life is sacred. It is a gift given to all to express fully. I evolved further by taken responsibility and accountability for all my actions, past and present. Darric lives and works out of his home in San Diego, California, spending his time walking the sandy beaches while writing on his favorite subject of nurturing and cultivating relationships!

Introduction
As citizens of this world on this current journey, we would all like to think that our lives matter to a greater extent, and it should never be brought into question.
- Darric D. May
Learn2Love2Live Together is a dive into the human experience in today’s modern world. We will search and explore the inner complexities of contemporary man’s relationships with himself, with the end goal of learning from them and improving on them.
Learn2Love2Live Together is the first book of its kind that challenges the reader to face current issues in evolving times, provoking them to ponder pertinent questions. For instance, how do we peacefully co-exist together? What actions are we prepared to commit to this present day to begin to physically manifest a tranquil existence amongst all the inhabitants of our home planet earth? The details are in the thoughts, functions, more importantly, operations of collective humanity to ultimately propel us forward as a functioning prospering species. This work aims to pose questions so that we can begin to see the big picture. That indeed, we are a collective body with ultimately the same aspirations and goals. The liberty to exercise free thought and move freely towards the pursuit of happiness in the form of exceptional quality of life. It further engages the reader – as this reality is of your making – by letting your voice be heard and expressed!
How does this book differ, you may ask? It sounds like any other book. As psychology students, we are taught how to conduct experiments to capture valuable feedback to use in studies, providing additional data regarding our species. I ask for your participation by providing your input in real-time by going to https://learn2love2live.com/global-think-tank. Doing this will empower you to provide your solutions to posed questions that affect our current reality.
As we embark upon the new millennium before us, we can all agree that humanity requires a tune-up in its thought and ideas on how we think and function as a species.
Learn2Love2Live Together presents a fresh perspective on enjoying, experiencing, and living this life as intended.
This reading will also reflect humanity’s current reality, exposing both the grim and lighter aspects it holds. Ultimately, its end goal is to unveil some truths and valuable insights to spur thought and initiate action. It is a tool to encourage humanity to welcome its much-needed transformation by acting as a spark, igniting the process.
Throughout man’s existence, he has experienced seasons – natural cycles, if you will – animatedly expressed in the continual rise and decline of human civilizations. We live in an ordered world where some processes and systems are attributed to the foundation of the root harmony we experience as life. These never-ending naturally observed cycles and systems are further studied and classified into sciences for human consumption and understanding. These rhythmic oscillations act as signatures of humanity’s ongoing efforts to rise above the fray.
And yet, still after ages of studying, here we find ourselves again at a crossroads. The question remains: do we join our progenitors as a lost, forgotten civilization consumed by our ignorance and pride? Or do we dare seek a new path unexplored, casting off our appetite for war and destruction in exchange for the mantle of peace and harmony, choosing to harmonize with the greater conscious reality?
We must utilize all of the advancements we possess in technology, agriculture, economics, and most important of all, relationships. To do so would progress us forward immensely. Now is the time for us to unify and advantageously utilize our diversity, securing our future as a unified entity.
Is it not enough to witness past mistakes; we must choose not to repeat them by learning from our ancestors’ mistakes and previous generations? In effect, we have at our disposal a storehouse of knowledge and wisdom. When combined with our current technological experiences, we are granted an opportunity to advance humanity to its fullness. Thus, is the nature of man – say it cannot be done, and we shall prove otherwise.
So, before us, the challenge must be realized. BRING THE PEOPLE OF THE EARTH TOGETHER. All the peoples of the earth unified, incorporated in the body of man. This would seem an inconceivable undertaking, and I would agree under the current regime; divide and conquer is, and remains, the order of the day.
It is the general practice of elitist minds to exploit the differences within the general population – those who have been colonized retain a colonized, indoctrinated mindset. The differences found within a man are distinguished and established to a science and further implemented within society’s framework as witnessed and outwardly practiced in the archaic caste systems as practiced in India, China, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Europe, and the US. It is further expressed in the apartheid system practiced in South Africa and our modern societies but a more subtle fashion. Divide and conquer – the weapon of choice against humanity has long been the colonial blueprint for a thriving, expanding, Imperialist regime.
Because we are no longer children and seek a higher path, let us put our childish games aside, abolishing the programming of old and establishing our bonds of brotherhood.
Those things among humanity that are similar far outnumber the differences that are perceived. How quickly we unite when brought under extreme distress, as Ronald Reagan put so eloquently in his speech in 1988, standing alongside Mikhail Gorbachev during the cold war era:
In our obsession with antagonisms of the moment, we often forget how much unites all the members of humanity; I occasionally think how quickly our differences would vanish if we were facing an unknown threat from outside this world.
Fortunately, at the moment, it is not an outside threat but an internal infestation of outdated ideologies combined with degenerate programming that threatens the existence of our species.
What is the motivation, you ask, to pull off that what has not been done? We have lived this life and have learned about what was left behind by our ancestors, to the point where we find ourselves on par with the ancients. Yet, we still lack the one necessary ingredient to seal our current endeavors. Let us love, let us live together, let us continue to learn new ideas and new ways so that we may create the unified, peaceful world we desire.
The challenge presented before us this day as we embark on this journey entails raising the global consciousness of humanity and taking full responsibility for our future. We have an end goal to focus our energies in a concerted effort, envisioning to direct, orchestrate, and ultimately create a legacy that is deemed viable for the species’ survival. You are the generation that will rise to new heights never before reached by man. We are one, multiplied by the many. We are the many seen and heard as one! Where we go one, we go all together!
CHAPTER 1
THE CHALLENGE
If man does find the solution for world peace it will be the most revolutionary reversal of his record we have ever known.
- George C. Marshall
Welcome, and thank you for choosing to be an active participant in the ever-unfolding drama – the human experience that we call life. I challenge humanity to perceive our current global condition with the hope of coming to a deeper understanding. Can we as a species do what some would suggest is implausible in accomplishing what has never been done before in all humanity’s history?
Herein lies the challenge presented before humanity on this day of reading. If we look at world history, we haven’t done well together at all. The entirety of human history is highlighted with wars and conflicts. Even if we look at the last 100 years alone, we have gone through two world wars that have probably caused some of the worst destruction in the planet’s history.
Why have we so willingly succumbed to accepting our current reality? With its wars, famines, poverty, financial crisis, irregular weather patterns, and general upheaval, perhaps we view it as a transformative process.
And if so, this is an opportunity for us to meet at the crossroads, taking a full inventory of our pasts so that we may no longer continually repeat the same mistakes but rather forge new paths.
Our desire to do better was evident during the aftermath of World War II, which brought glimpses of hope when we came together to establish the United Nations and promised never to repeat such horrific events.
As it turns out, conflict, it seems, is etched in our very nature. There is a common saying that to embark on a new direction; one must be willing to retire old ways having the courage to
