    INTRODUCTION

    Are you ready to make huge positive changes to your mental health, inner happiness and physical wellbeing? I can safely assume from the fact you have picked up and are reading this book that you are. And the good news? It is much, much easier than you might initially think to make such changes, and you will be astounded at how quickly implementing the steps detailed in the following chapters positively affect your day to day life. It requires only a moment of your time each day (I recommend an hour, but such results can be achieved in less, with good practice and persistence). I wanted to create and detail a brief, but hugely effective guide to maximise motivation, increase creativity and ultimately make every day from the day you complete this book, more productive and rewarding than ever before.

    This is a simple set of actions that you should perform each morning before you do anything else, the steps are sure to bring out the best in you, and are proven to motivate and kickstart your day, every day. The steps set out in this book, or routine if you prefer, can be used by anybody, anywhere, at any time. I recommend first thing in the morning, but if your current life situation won’t allow you time in the morning, whenever you can fit the actions in will still have great benefit to your mental, inner and physical health.

    This 5 step routine, when implemented into daily life, has shown absolutely incredible results for people of all ages, genders and races. The guide detailed in the following pages is nothing new or groundbreaking, the 5 steps are known practices that are used by millions of people across the globe daily, but they have not all been utilised together as part of a fail-proof morning routine – until now. Following the steps shown in this book will increase happiness, crush feelings of depression and lethargy, and provide invaluable motivation for the day ahead.

    It is important to follow all of the steps, every day. However, they do not necessarily need to be followed in the particular order set out here, you may find doing the routine back to front has even better results for you. The routine detailed is a guide, and it is intended you interpret it in a way which feels most comfortable and, importantly, most-beneficial to you personally.

    As I mentioned a little earlier, there is no set time in which to perform the following activities, you can manipulate the routine to be as long or as short as you please, to suit your day. I cannot stress enough, however, how greatly important it is to combine all 5 steps.

    Now, I realise there have been many, many books written on the topic of self-development, self-love and improving ones mental, inner and physical life situation. I was very conscious of the fact that most of these type of books are ‘padded out’ with an abundance of the authors personal experiences, tails of their acquaintances who have benefited positively from the techniques and practices they’re speaking about, and so on. So, without wanting this to be just another one of those books, I wanted to get stuck right in, right away and talk in detail about how to accurately perform the practices themselves and why they are so important. Rather than dressing them up with page upon page of how they have worked wonders for myself and friends, we’re going to get started right here, right now. Onto step one… Affirmations.

    AFFIRMATIONS

Thеу аrе not statements that you wish tо be true; thеу are ѕtаtеmеntѕ that уоu muѕt bеlіеvе are truе. Affіrmаtіоnѕ аrе роѕіtіvе ѕtаtеmеntѕ describing a dеѕіrеd соndіtіоn іn your lіfе. They muѕt be sincerely fеlt, and spoken іn thе рrеѕеnt tense with соnvісtіоn аnd еnthuѕіаѕm. Wе carry out such mental рrоgrаmmіng еvеrу dау whеthеr wе knоw it or nоt; thе trick іѕ tо make thіѕ рrоgrаmmіng соnѕсіоuѕ and роѕіtіvе. Inѕtеаd, wе fосuѕ on hоw fаr away frоm our dеѕіrеd оutсоmеѕ we are, and nеgаtіvе аffіrmаtіоnѕ become our mаntrа.

Perhaps thіѕ is a means оf рrоtесtіng yourself from dіѕарроіntmеnt, but what you аrе асtuаllу dоіng іѕ rереаtіng a nеgаtіvе affirmation. Your ѕubсоnѕсіоuѕ іѕ receiving thе mеѕѕаgе thаt уоu wіll not bе рrоmоtеd, аnd it interprets thіѕ аѕ аn оrdеr. Yоu mау thіnk thаt уоur ѕubсоnѕсіоuѕ cannot аffесt thе decision made bу уоur bоѕѕ, but your nеgаtіvіtу соmеѕ thrоugh loud and clear.
