One Net, Many Boats - Steve Harris

    Part 01

    Foundations

    1 Corinthians 3:11 (NASB)

For no man can lay a foundation other than

the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

    Chapter 01

    The Fulfilment

    of

    God-Given Vision

    Habakkuk 2:1-4 (NKJV)

¹ I will stand my watch

And set myself on the rampart,

And watch to see what He will say to me,

And what I will answer when I am corrected.

    The Just Live by Faith

² Then the Lord answered me and said:

"Write the vision and make it plain on tablets,

That he may run who reads it.

    ³ For the vision is yet for an appointed time;

but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.

    Though it tarries, wait for it;

Because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

    ⁴ "Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him;

But the just shall live by his faith."

The prophet Habakkuk was given some vital keys regarding the establishment and fulfilment of God given vision. During my own walk with God, I have seen time and again that as soon as I began to write down the visions that God had given to me about soul harvest, healing miracles, and the raising up of mercy and justice ministries amongst the poor, suddenly, there would be an avalanche of fulfilment, eternal fruit, and even revival … Habakkuk 2:1-4 fulfilled.

Because I chose to obey and write down all the visions and burdens that He had placed within my heart, at the stage when there was truly no more to show for any of it than just things that were hoped for, and things that were not yet seen - almost from one day to the next, the things that had been hoped for suddenly were, and the things that been not seen had suddenly taken on physical form and were being gloriously fulfilled. And others were also running with and fulfilling the God-given vision, and growing in Christ and becoming personally fulfilled as a result.

There is a powerful, vitally important Divine principle that is at work here. Simply because everything has been written down clearly according to the Heavenly vision, God will breathe upon it and He will cause others to run with it, and it will take shape and grow … and all for His Glory, and for the fulfilment of His wonderful purposes to the very ends of the Earth.

Here are seven keys that we can receive from Habakkuk 2:1-4 :-

1 - Prioritise the waiting and watching.

2 - Stand your watch - do not give up !

    Be alert, attentive, and vigilant.

3 - Learn to listen and obey – especially the small, sometimes frustrating steps that will often lead to the larger steps, provided that we stay the course.

4 - Learn to hear 100 percent clearly from the LORD, to discern what is God and what is not God; and be prepared to wait until you know that you know that it is Him.

5 - Write down the vision and make it very plain so that others may run with it.

6 - Though it tarry – understand that to God, a day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is as a day (2 Peter 3:8). From our perspective, His timing seems so very different to human timing and priority – and yet, His timing is always perfect.

We must take great care not to run ahead (i.e., try to force our destiny to happen on our terms through works of the flesh) or to fall behind (become inattentive or insensitive to His voice) where the timing of God is concerned. Also, we should be open to the fact that vision given to us may be for others to fulfil. It may be our role to simply impart it.

Many lessons are learned, and many valuable character attributes are formed, as we learn to neither run ahead nor lag behind God’s perfect schedule, and as we also learn to resist the temptation to abbreviate or embellish it ! In other words, be prepared to patiently wait for the establishment and fulfilment of the God-given vision, God’s way.

7 – Learn to live by faith. May the substance of things hoped for and "the evidence of things not (yet) seen" (Hebrews 11:1-2) be sufficient to sustain our belief in the vision, as you learn to wait more and more upon God and as you learn to place more and more of your trust in Him.

Divine patterns and blueprints consist of revelation that has been birthed in a place of supernatural encounter with the Divine Godhead. They will be understood, embraced, and activated by people who live in close, ever-deepening communion with Him.

    Hebrews 8:5 (NKJV)

… who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things,

as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.

Things revealed to you in the Throne Room of Heaven

will come to pass on the earth.

Though they may be not yet seen, they will be, if we prioritise the watching and waiting; resolutely stand our watch; learn to listen and obey; learn what is God and what is not; write down the vision; accept God’s way and God’s timing; and live by faith.

We will gain Divine approval and see an increase of supernatural fruitfulness if we learn to embrace and honour our God-given visions in this way.

Hebrews 11:1-2 (AMP) - The Triumphs of Faith

¹ Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation)

of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence

of things not seen [the conviction of their reality

    - faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced

by the physical senses]. ² For by this [kind of] faith

the men of old gained [divine] approval.

    Habakkuk was the messenger.

He faithfully wrote down what he saw and heard from Heaven, and he released it so that others could run with it.

The contents of this book are based upon the glorious promises and encouragements contained within the Bible, and also drawn from my own experiences, which include Heavenly encounters and earthly missions (to the Throne Room and to the nations), planting ekklesias and apostolic hubs, and much more.

As an ever-amazed ambassador of an always wonderful God, I have seen the fulfilment of much of what is written here, in and through my own life.

I also know that an equal part of what has been received, written down, and shared here by faith, has not, as yet, been seen; but it will be, as you, the reader, are drawn by the Holy Spirit to run with the Divine patterns that are presented here. God will fulfil them in and through your own Christ-surrendered life.

    Selah, and Amen.

    Chapter 02

    One Net, Many Boats

Recently, as I was worshipping, I saw, in the Spirit, a massive mantle of Glory that was circular in shape, dropping down from Heaven.

As it descended, it covered a large region of the earth. I saw some local ekklesia leaders and network leaders standing at one edge of the mantle and trying to pick it up by lifting the edge, but they were unable to do so on their own.

I saw some other local ekklesia members, standing at another point along the edge of the mantle, also holding the edge of the mantle and trying to lift it up. However, it was simply too large, and too heavy.

I then saw other people streaming in from all over the world. There were representatives of every major people group, and also people from every generation – from children to great-grandparents. It was a beautiful sight to behold with such a wonderful diversity of cultures and generations.

This amazing sight was accompanied by the glorious sound of everyone’s voices lifted harmoniously in a multitude of languages to worship the LORD as one. Effortlessly, they positioned themselves at equidistant points around the edges of the mantle, and together they held it in their hands.

And suddenly – the mantle of Glory was able to be lifted up.

God spoke. This is what He said :-

"This mantle is too ‘weighty’ with Kabod ² Glory,

Divine attributes and design, and generational

responsibility, for one person or single group to carry.

The glorious mantle of revival was never intended to

be carried by individuals alone, but rather by people of all nations, denominations, and generations working together."

Once the edges of the mantle had been lifted up, it suddenly changed into a fishing net, and I saw that the people groups who had been holding the edges were suddenly standing in waist deep water. Still worshipping as one, they began walking toward the centre of the net.

As the distance between them decreased, the circle grew tighter, and

a multitude of good-sized fish of many different kinds started jumping out of the water.

It was a bumper catch – and not a single fish slipped through the net.

I also saw that as the various groups came closer to each other, the different anointings and mantles that each group carried were literally rubbing off (one meaning of anointing is to rub ³ ) on each other.

Every group grew in strength, anointing and Godly stature from the rubbing with every other group. It was supremely beautiful because of the Divine unity that was being released through the blending of the diverse anointings that were carried by the different generations and people groups.

Agape relationships formed and strengthened, leading to vigorous upwards (spiritual connection), inwards (character development), and outwards (multiplying fruitfulness and relationships) growth, for every group.

One net, many boats : this is a prophetic picture of what the end times ekklesia will look like, and how it will function.

And - an abundant and joyful harvest will come as we learn to work together, directed by the glorious anointing and Divine blueprints and strategies of Almighty God.

    Matthew 14:33 (AMP)

Then those who were in the boat worshipped Him

    (with awe-inspired reverence), saying,

Truly You are the Son of God.

    Isaiah 4:5 (NKJV)

Then the LORD will create above every dwelling place

of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud

and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night.

For over all the glory there will be a covering.

Being truly led by the Spirit of God leads to true unity. And unity is the single human activity based on individual choice, upon which God commands His blessing.

    Psalm 133:1 &3b (NKJV)

¹ Behold, how good and how pleasant it is

for brethren to dwell together in unity!

³b For there the LORD commanded the blessing

    - Life forevermore.

May we be truly, joyfully, and gloriously unified across all nations, denominations, and generations as we embrace the end times leading of the Holy Spirit.

And may the coming revival be much more than a Holy visitation, but rather, a Holy habitation that transforms societies and nations from the inside out, and from grassroots to government, as we stand shoulder to shoulder with God and with each other in the harvest fields of His choosing.

    Zephaniah 3:9 (NIV)

"Then I will purify the lips of the peoples,

that all of them may call on the name of the Lord

and serve him shoulder to shoulder."

    Chapter 03

    Glorious Regiments

    John 1:50-51 (AMPC)

⁵⁰ Jesus replied, "Because I said to you,

I saw you beneath the fig tree,

do you believe in and rely on and trust in Me ?

You shall see greater things than this!"

⁵¹ Then He said to him,

"I assure you, most solemnly I tell you all,

you shall see heaven opened, and the angels of God

ascending and descending upon the Son of Man!"

    Psalm 91:11-12 (AMP)

¹¹ For He will command His angels in regard to you,

To protect and defend and guard you in all your ways

    [of obedience and service].

¹² They will lift you up in their hands,

So that you do not [even] strike your foot against a stone.

    Jesus said :

I assure you, most solemnly I tell you all, you shall see

The Bible clearly teaches the existence of angels as mighty, created spirit beings, whose chief duties are to worship and serve God.

They are not a race, reproducing themselves, but are a company created to minister to the heirs of salvation.⁴

In both the Old and the New Testaments there are accounts of angels ministering to the people of God. Nearly all of the great men of the Bible exhibited a belief in the existence of angels.

The LORD Jesus Christ Himself spoke often of the angels, and was also ministered to by them (Mark 8:38, 13:32; Matthew 13:41; John 1:51; 2 Thessalonians 1:7; Hebrews 12:22). ⁵

I remember one particular occasion when I was woken up in the middle of the night by the LORD to pray and to worship. As soon I began to worship, the realms of Glory were opened and I found myself immediately taken up. The Glory was so thick, and His Presence was so strong, I was trembling, shaking, and completely overwhelmed. After a little while, when I was able to adjust to the intensity of His Presence, I noticed that in the midst of the Glory there were some very intense golden spots where the Glory seemed to be much thicker than it was everywhere else.

Suddenly, the Spirit of the LORD picked me up and zoomed me in closer to one of the golden spots. As I drew nearer, I could see that the spots were actually square in shape.

He picked me up again and brought me in closer – right into the middle of one of the squares. I was astounded to see that what had appeared to be spots from a distance were in fact glorious regiments of angelic beings. There were 10,000 assembled in each formation, standing 100 wide and 100 deep, and all covered in the Glory of God.

At this point, the LORD spoke to me and said, "Son, these glorious regiments are commanded by me. They are activated in response to the prayers of My people. When they begin to pray with the full Divine authority that is their birthright in Me, I release and activate my regiments in response to their prayers, to help them fulfil their glorious assignments to the very ends of the earth.

Tell my people to prepare, because Now is the Time."

The last statement that the LORD made – Now is the Time – was with a voice of such Divine majesty and authority that the atmosphere became charged and filled with His powerful Presence, and everything shook.

I was there in that Glorious realm for a long time, absorbing the power of the revelation, completely undone in the Presence of the Almighty, and doing my best to absorb the full implications of what had been revealed.

Now is the time. The LORD is inviting us to co-govern the affairs of the Earth in Divine partnership with Him through Spirit-led worship and intercession and the implementation of Divine strategies.

The angelic hosts are standing ready to be released to protect, defend, and guard us in all our ways of obedience and service (Psalm 91:11), beginning in the Throne Room and ending in the nations.

May He equip and empower us all to see what He is doing in the realms of the Spirit, so that His Kingdom may come and His will be done in all its fullness to the very ends of the Earth.

    Matthew 26:53 (NIV)

"Do you think I cannot call on My Father,

and He will at once put at my disposal

more than twelve legions of angels?"

    Revelation 14:6 (NIVUK)

"Then I saw another angel flying in mid-air,

and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim

to those who live on the earth

    – to every nation, tribe, language and people."

    Psalm 2:7-8 (NKJV)

    ⁷ "I will declare the decree :

The Lord has said to Me,

‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You.

⁸ Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance,

And the ends of the earth for Your possession."

    Chapter 04

    Overflowing With

    the Fullness of God

Transformation of ekklesias, and then of our nations through the transformed ekklesia, begins with the transformation of ourselves. Every time two or three gather in His Name (or as the AMPC beautifully renders are … drawn together … into His Name), Jesus says that He, as the great I AM, will be right there in our midst.

    Matthew 18:20 (AMPC)

For wherever two or three are gathered

    (drawn together as My followers)

in (into) My name, there I AM in the midst of them.

It is so important that our personal Divine Patterns are in place if we are going to be used by the LORD to implement His corporate Divine Patterns for the end times ekklesia.

    Filled to Overflowing

We are called to be filled to overflowing with the life and love of Christ on a personal level and on a corporate level. We are called to build Christ-centred communities that overflow with rich and abundant supernatural expressions of His life, His truth, His hope, and most importantly, His love.

    John 10:10b (AMP)

I came that they may have and enjoy life,

and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].

    Romans 5:5 (AMP)

    Such hope [in God’s promises]

never disappoints us, because God’s love

has been abundantly poured out within our hearts

through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Our communities are called to be so full of Jesus that His life, truth, light, and love permeate not only the regions in which they are planted, but also the networks to which we belong. We are called to influence every sphere of human culture through the overflowing abundance of supernatural life that we carry.

    Matthew 15:14-16 (NKJV)

¹⁴ "You are the light of the world.

A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

¹⁵ Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket,

but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all

    who are in the house.

¹⁶ Let your light so shine before men, that they may see

your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

God always intended His ekklesias to be places where people know that they will personally encounter the Living God - not where they will only hear about Him.

    Hebrews 2:12 (NKJV)

    "I will declare Your name to My brethren;

In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You."

    Revelation 1:13 (NKJV)

…and in the midst of the seven lampstands

One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment

down to the feet and girded about the chest

    with a golden band.

    Revelation 2:1 (NKJV)

"To the angel of the church of Ephesus write,

‘These things says He who holds the seven stars

in His right hand, who walks in the midst

    of the seven golden lampstands:’"

    Deeper Encounters and Greater Things

No matter where we are in our walk with God, and no matter how long or short a time we have walked with Him, there will always be a place of deeper encounter that He has prepared for us.

    Psalm 17:15 (AMP)

    As for me, I shall see Your face in righteousness;

I will be [fully] satisfied when I awake

[to find myself] seeing Your likeness.

    Psalm 42:7-8 (NKJV)

    ⁷ Deep calls to deep

    at the [thundering] sound of Your waterfalls;

All Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me.

⁸ Yet the Lord will command His lovingkindness

in the daytime, and in the night His song will be with me,

A prayer to the God of my life.

    Philippians 3:12 (NKJV)

Not that I have already attained,

or am already perfected; but I press on,

that I may lay hold of that for which

Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.

How close are we to becoming the Greater Things Christians that Jesus spoke about in John 14:12 – the ones who would do greater works than He did ?

    John 14:12 (NASB)

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me,

the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works

than these he will do; because I go to the Father.

    Levels of Engagement

What is our level of engagement with the Almighty? Does He call us His friends ? Are we living in His Presence and/or under an established Open Heaven ? If someone asked us what Jesus was like (not just who He is) would we be able to tell them, based upon our own personal experiences of Him, and glorious encounters with Him ?

When the apostle Paul spent time with people, he did not present himself with superiority of speech or lofty words of eloquence.

Rather, wherever he went God demonstrated His Word through miraculous displays of His power. This is because Paul lived his life in intimate relationship with God, continually immersed in His Presence.

    1 Corinthians 2:1-5 (AMP)

    - Paul’s Reliance upon the Spirit

¹ And when I came to you, brothers and sisters,

proclaiming to you the testimony of God [concerning salvation

through Christ], I did not come with superiority

of speech or of wisdom [no lofty words of eloquence

    or of philosophy as a Greek orator might do];

² for I made the decision to know nothing

[that is, to forego philosophical or theological discussions

regarding inconsequential things and opinions while]

among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified

[and the meaning of His redemptive, substitutionary

death and His resurrection]. ³ I came to you in

[a state of] weakness and fear and great trembling.

⁴ And my message and my preaching were not

in persuasive words of wisdom [using clever rhetoric],

but [they were delivered] in demonstration

of the [Holy] Spirit [operating through me]

and of [His] power [stirring the minds of the listeners

and persuading them], ⁵ so that your faith would not rest

on the wisdom and rhetoric of men, but on the power of God.

If we and the people whom we lead are to become ambassadors of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20) who truly represent Him in all of His glorious fullness, then we must learn what it means to have Christ in us the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). We must not limit the ways that He can work through us because of our unbelief, lack of knowledge of His ways, or lack of intimate relationship with
