About this ebook

I wrote this through the hand of our Lord the Holy Spirit. I feel this is a gift that I was given, "to Write." We all have shame and have seen and felt inspiration. People struggle with their past, with sins and they feel lost with nowhere to go, no answers, what does God want with a loser like me. They're hungry for answers, or they have just g

Biography of Russell James Harper II

Born in Wooster, Ohio, the son of Russ and Fran Harper. I am the oldest of four, two sisters, Shelly and Lori, and a brother named

Heath. I was raised in Mansfield, Wooster, and Perrysville, Ohio.

After high school, I decided to join the US NAVY where I became a Boiler Technician onboard the USS England until 1978. I have been married to my wonderful wife Cathy, the daughter of Chuck and

Nancy Emerson since 1979. We have known each other since we

were just little kids (our parents grew up in the same area).

We have three children Wesslee, Desiree, and Crystal. After retiring from the navy, and the pottery as well, we moved to Arizona. Our son Wesslee, and our oldest daughter Desiree, were both in the navy at the time and we only had Crystal, our youngest. After some years in production, I am now a security guard with a defense contractor.

I have believed in God and have been a born again follower of Jesus Christ since church camp in my teens. I have and always believe Jesus Christ is one and the same as God the Father, and the Holy Spirit. I study prayer and have multiple conversations with my Lord

    through Jesus Christ our Savior.

I have adopted the acronym YFICA (Your Friend In Christ Always) because it is an ever standing truth within me, and to anyone I come across in life!

    About the Cover

I feel the Lord gave me the heart and soul to paint these pictures of what he wants told, that a lot of us have forgotten our journey of

Faith in some way or for some reason.

We are posting our sins to the cross, the cross that was, and is, only a symbol, of remembrance of how, and why Jesus Christ died for

    our sins.

What Jesus did that day , but most importantly is doing for us even now, seems to be buried in the sands of time, almost forgotten.

But it is in the right position to be picked up and carried as the scripture sais in Luke 9:23 Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me

    Preface

Are you lost? Do you think you’re lost? Do you think you’re not good enough for God? That you can never, ever get there from here because of what or who you have become?

Or, even though you have accepted Christ into your heart at some time in your past and you’ve gone way out of bounds with Jesus, you’re thinking he probably doesn’t want you back! You think your sin is soooo down and dirty, that there is just no way anyone, much less, Jesus, could ever love you or me!

Do you use the word backslide to describe the problems of your life, or when a friend wants to pray with and for you or when he or she asks you to go to church with them?

How long will you ignore those tugs that tell you he wants you back and he still loves you? Does that word baggage mean more than packing for a trip, and the words excess baggage means you think you are over Gods weight limit for departure?

This book is for everyone that is a sinner, (that would mean Everyone), because all of us are sinners! It says in Romans 3:21–26

²¹ But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. ²² This righteousness is given through faith in [a] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,

²³ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ²⁴ and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. ²⁵ God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, [b] through the shedding of his blood––to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished–– ²⁶ he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

I will mention words that most of you know and some you will quickly learn. Words like sin, conviction, born again, followers of Jesus Christ, pain, suffering, and crucifixion. There will be words that pack a punch to your hearts and your mind.

This book is about those of you that are not believers as well as those of You who are, and made choices that they cannot forgive themselves for. Many of us who made the decision to live our own lives are realizing that the bad habits are not the way Jesus intended us to follow him. The familiar words What would Jesus do, brings out the conviction in us all; it can lead you into depression if you don’t let the Lord deal with it.

    Acknowledgments

This book is dedicated to my wonderful and supportive wife Cathy, without fervent prayer, conviction, Truth and the love of a forgiving Father in heaven who is always all around us everywhere we go, this journey would not have begun. Of course the one who raised me my Mother and father where lessons begin.

Our Children and Grandchildren without whom the Inspiration, sketches and encouragement I would not be able to go the distance.

The Bicycle shop sisters; Mother Lovely and her three daughters Victorious, Princess and Precious that showed me that there can be revival anywhere in Christ and that just wearing the right shirt can open endless conversations of our Lord and Savior.

To my Prayer Pastor, Paul Covert, A true friend, mentor and Author of the book Threshold and now 52 creative ways to pray

Mark Batterson pastor of the church in Washington D.C. National Community Church and author of the Circle Maker Books of which inspired me through the Holy Spirit to do something with these writings

Another author I would like to mention that is an inspiring friend is Victoria Porter Cramer, Author of the book, Living Life Loudly

K love Radio, through which inspiring artists inspired me as well those such as Laura Daggle, Ray Stevens, Danny Gokey, and Tobey Mack
