    One of the Greats is Gone

    The great poet has died today

    The one who knows how a caged bird sings

    The world will miss her song

    The world will miss her style 

    We all will miss her language and her tales.

    We all will miss her inner beauty

    And her love for all.

    Her creativity, her imagination, and the stories she told

    May god bless you Dr. Angelou?

    I’m sure there is a place in heaven for you

    I’m sure God will love your stories.

    The Legend of the Soda Pop Kid

    Long ago, before time advanced there lived trouble

    He stood about 5’6" and knew the alphabet backwards

    But he was trouble just the same

    They called him the Soda Pop Kid

    And he stood among the heroes in his place in heaven

    He’s always been known as a legend

    The question was, is he immortal

    Now that was for the Gods to figure out

    Or can the People and the Kid’s poetry decide that

    One more fight his brother says.

    I can take him

    You will never take his Legend

    You will always be Number 2
