Chapter One

Understanding Why We Have Emotions

Life is not a respecter of your occupation, lifestyle, or how much money you have. The pressures of life will always attack your emotions and character. We must develop wisdom, strength, and strategy to lead our emotions instead of allowing our emotions to lead us. I have come to the conclusion that life is better when I lead myself by wisdom and do not allow my challenges to dictate my happiness. When one experiences the liberty of not being held captive by their emotions, they discover new personalities, positive thinking, wonderful relationships, and productive results.

Why do we have emotions?

Emotions, also known as feelings, are gifts from God to relate to God’s people and things. They are given to embrace your future and let go of your past.

Emotions were given to make sense of or to comprehend the things you encounter in life and to release positive feedback. Most people use emotions backward; they will sense things and turn their focus to what they received, not understanding that we must give positive feedback in the situation. How you feel about a thing is the reality of how you visualize it.

Most people feel broke before they experience not having any money. Now the emotions that come with feeling a sense of lack have become your reality and turned you in the wrong directions rather than going toward positive results.

Uneducated emotions are damaging to your health and your success. When emotions are released in a negative way, it can hinder proper circulation of blood flow and oxygen to the brain and body, causing high blood pressure, deterioration of hair and skin, loss of memory, and poor judgment.

Emotions must be educated!

They must be trained on how to respond in a positive way.
