    FOREWARD

The scars on our bodies, in our heart or mind are our testimony so we might not forget what Christ did for us and others might believe. - Christine Morrow

A book about healing must do more than entertain. It must be instructive to be of any value to the reader. It must be filled with truth and stories the reader can relate to and understand. The author needs to be honest about their journey and remind the reader our society focuses on brokenness instead of wholeness.

I met Christine several years ago to talk about wounds that were still raw, concerns that had not faded away, and questions regarding what the future held. She poured out her life story. In my mind’s eye I could see the scars, but also how they have healed, and are now part of her testimony.

Over the years I learned from her the best way to confirm the healing is to share it with others, to not be shy about what transpired and reveal the good and not so good issues. Her life serves as a testimony for Christ and the book you are holding is similar to what the Israelites did when something wonderful happened; they would establish a memorial to commemorate it. The memorial would be a Shalom event and what you are holding is a Shalom journey for you.

Over the past several months as Christine has written this book, I have witnessed her experience many moments similar to what is recorded in Mark 5:30 when Jesus became aware of the power (or blessing) going out of him to a woman in grave need. Christine knew she had to pour herself out in order to communicate that we all can have wholeness instead of brokenness. What you are holding is a path to wholeness we all can walk, guided by what she learned while healing from her wounds.

Your journey to wholeness is about you becoming who Christ created you to be in spite of what has happened to you or what you have done. You were not created
