Dedication
For many years, in fact most of my 56 years, I have wondered what God’s plan was for me. I was reflecting on 2019, watching a movie, and it appeared to me. When I was in kindergarten a classmate brought a doctors kit to school with sleeping pills in it. He gave myself and four other classmates, including himself, one of the pills. I was unaware that me being small (weight) and possibly being allergic to the medication that it would affect me so drastically. I quickly became unresponsive and my parents were called where they promptly took me to ER. I was not getting any better and one of the doctors told my mom if she didn’t get me to University of Tennessee hospital I was not going to make it. So my parents immediately headed toward UT hospital. When I arrived I was basically deceased but they shocked my heart and pumped my stomach to revive me. Once I realized recently that I almost passed away Gods plan was revealed. God wanted me to write this book. The signs were there like the direction of which scripture to use through radio, reading the Bible, and sermons at church. I have been truly blessed and now have a clear understanding of God’s plan for me. I hope this book will lead you to the Lord for the first time or strengthen your relationship with Him.
Introduction
This book is designed for Christians to enhance their belief and continue down the path God has planned for them. I never meant for this to be a testimony, but the more I worked on the book, the more obvious it became. For every book that sells, I will make a donation to St. Jude’s Hospital and a domestic violence charity located in my area. I am not writing this book for the money, but if it helps one person either come to God or return to God, then I have accomplished my goal. I am no Bible scholar or pastor; I am simply a follower of Jesus Christ. The information has come from sermons, songs, radio stations and the King James Bible. I cannot take credit for this, as I am only a vessel through which God is communicating, and all acknowledgments shall go to Him.
A little history on my life. I was saved as a teenager at a bonfire at Camp Bioko in the Great Smoky Mountains. I made the choice to follow Jesus and feel that He has protected me through many life events. I have survived domestic violence and abuse in my home as a child, the loss of a child, and depression. Jesus watched over and guided me through it all, even when I did not know He was near. Shortly after my salvation, I strayed away from God and lived a life that I and the devil wanted, which consisted of adultery, gambling, and alcohol—basically a partying lifestyle. But God never stopped loving me and walked with me, protecting from harmful events in my life. The path I was on was very much like my father’s. I realized I was being no father to my daughter, who was about four. I remember being at a place for kids with inflatables, tunnels, and slides with my daughter; I was hungover from the night before.
I am not proud of this but am simply telling you where I was at that point in my life. So I recognized the need for a change in my life but did not know where to start. So I begin to turn back to God by praying and trying to live the way God intended for us to live. The change included a divorce, as the mother of my child did not want to go to church or get my daughter in church. I knew the answer was
