Dedication
This book is dedicated to my precious children – Wendy, Emma, Michael & Daniel, and my grandchildren – Benjamin, Naomi and Isaiah.
In memory of my late husband Nkem Godwin
and many women who have experienced life challenging circumstances in their relationships and may be at a place of giving up.
This book will encourage them to hold on to Jesus as the source of hope.
Based on a true life story of a woman who had gone through the rough challenges of life
and was able to stir through the storms trusting in God Almighty who brought her out of it all successfully to the glory of His mighty name.
From being rejected as a child by her father to having an unstable marriage relationship, her faith in Jesus stirred her through all life’s storms to restoration, restitution, replenishment and replication.
Foreword
Life can often appear to be confusing and brutal; but only if you observe it with a fatalistic disposition or mindset. The truth is that life is not as random and as unplanned as it sometimes appears to be. When you are holding unto God’s Sovereign hand, your life (and everything you experience) always has a point to it. It has a purpose and it has a reason.
God once explained it this way to one of His Servants. He said: I know the thoughts that I am thinking towards you—they are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a great future and a lasting hope.
In other words, "God was saying,
just because life is shaky or uncertain does not mean it is aimless or unguided—because I have a great plan."
Through it all
is a story of one woman’s epic battle to stay afloat in an ocean of challenges, trials and pain. The ups and downs of life can dazzle anyone, but when they are inflicted on you by your family, they become larger than life. They overwhelm you and turn your world up-side-down.
Such was the situation in the life of Precious.
But Precious had something. She had a secret weapon. And all she had to do was learn how to use it. She had to learn how to deflect the trauma and accusations of her enemies. She had to learn how to steady her nerves; how to pull on her Source of power; and how to (not just survive) but thrive. It wasn’t easy, but through it all, she did it.
As you read through the pages of this book, you too may come to discover your secret weapon. You may find
