Author Biography AL LIPOLD, Attorney at Law Born on November 1 1928 son of an immigrant miner. Served as a World War II veteran, August 1946 to March 1948 in the United States Marine Corps. Attended John Carroll University and Cleveland State University (Cleveland Marshall Law School) and awarded JD Degree. Admitted to the Bar in 1955 in the State of Ohio, Employed as a trial attorney for 28 years in the Cuyahoga County, Ohio, prosecutor's office. Served as First Assistant Prosecutor for five years. I’m a member of a several veteran's and fraternal organizations. I am the father of three sons and six grandchildren.

    Introduction

    Over the past few years and from time to time, I have made written notes of matters that relate to war and peace, justice, hatred and oppression, politics, race relations, and more recently, terrorism and extremism. This information I mostly collected from news items in newspapers, magazines, and books that I read.

    I have focused on who we are, as individuals and groups, are. The rights of every person, hatred, free will, hope, faith, love and peace, and of course, terrorism and extremism.

    My ultimate focus has been on peace on this earth. Is world peace possible? I am of the opinion, yes, world peace is possible.

    Some of the world characters that I read about, and admired, as I considered my quest for information and understanding were Winston Churchill, Albert Einstein, Elie Wiesel, and Pope John Paul II and our current pope, Francis I.

    This book is written to cover and link together some of the above referred-to matters. And as far as the United States is concerned, one of the first notes I made referred to then President Woodrow Wilson, who on April 16,1917, asked congress
