    I first came across the work of Bryony Marie Fry when I saw her perform. It was at a small, crowded indie bar in Southampton, UK. I knew her a little at this point, from bumping into each other on nights out during my university days, so I was looking forward to hearing her play for the first time. Aside from the fact I knew she wrote her own songs and played guitar, I really didn’t know what to expect from her performance.

    Bryony, who always came across a little introverted when we spoke, presented something entirely different on stage. As soon as she opened her mouth to reveal a smoky, old school jazz voice; a cool confidence seemed to radiate from her. I was hooked. And have stayed that way ever since.

    As the years have progressed, I’ve followed Bryony’s creative endeavours from both close and afar. Whether it’s her vibrant and unique art, or her work relating to overcoming addiction such as taking part in Channel 4’s documentary film, Addicts Symphony; Bryony is never without an artistic project on the go.

    Which is why I’m so excited to be part of the next chapter in her creative quest:
