The Six Principles of Enlightenment and Meaning of Life
Author

Russell Anthony Gibbs

Award winning and bestselling author Russell Anthony Gibbs is a philosopher and spiritual seeker on a quest for enlightenment. His research into Baha'ism, Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Sufism and Taoism greatly influences his spiritual and philosophical perspective. He is also profoundly influenced by the information from two channeled entities, Seth and Abraham. He further incorporates quantum mechanics, physics and psychology as well as concepts from the works of Albert Einstein, Carl Jung, Sigmund Freud and Stephen Hawking. Gibbs's communication style is concise, intense and deep. He would rather express wisdom in brief, powerful quotes and concise paragraphs than in complicated, long-winded explanations. Espresso Wisdom is short, strong, rich insight. Like espresso coffee, it gives an intense jolt of enlightenment. Enlightenment is an awakening, and Espresso Wisdom is meant to help jumpstart you on your journey. Espresso Wisdom- Short, Strong, Rich Insight! ™

    Symbolism of the Cover

The cover of The Six Principles of Enlightenment and Meaning of Life is designed to reflect the wisdom of religion and philosophy intertwined with intellect of science. The large symbol of the atom signifies science and more specifically quantum mechanics, which helps to explain and support the Principles of Enlightenment. The atom is also a symbol of Atheism and reflects a balanced and skeptical approach to understanding the Universe and the meaning of life. The atom is wrapped around each of the smaller symbols which represent religion, philosophy and again science as the sources of wisdom that help to explain the principles. The nine pointed star at the top of the atom is the symbol of Bahaism, a religion that recognizes the oneness all religions. The other symbols in clockwise order represent Christianity, Infinity, Judaism, Atom/Science, Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam. The Six Principles of Enlightenment and Meaning of Life explains who we are and why we are here, incorporating philosophy, religion and science to support these universal truths.

    Introduction

I have been on a spiritual quest for enlightenment for most of my life. Raised Catholic, I longed for more than just the teaching of Christianity to understand the universe and our place in it. While searching for wisdom I have researched and investigated a wide range of religious, esoteric, philosophical and scientific teachings. Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, Sufism, Baha’ism, Hinduism, quantum physics and several channeled entities have greatly influenced my quest. I have even drafted several chapters of a book entitled Spiritual Shopping, which compared and contrasted world religions and helps to identify the key principles that they hold in common. I realized there are many pathways leading to the same destination. The pathways are as varied as the preferences of people and the time periods that they served.

All this searching and investigation led to The Six Principles of Enlightenment and Meaning of Life. These principles are some of the major themes in understanding the nature of our existence and are a synthesis of philosophy, religion and science. I do not profess to know all the answers. I am also attempting to explain some of the concepts that challenge explanation and have confounded man for ages. I believe that wisdom is infinite and my consciousness is only tapping into part of the knowledge of the Universe. I believe, however, that through my spiritual searching, research, intuition, introspection and personal experiences, I have begun to connect the dots and have subsequently developed this list.

These principles may be challenging to comprehend and equally challenging to incorporate into life. I have added some explanations of how to live the principle in each section. In conclusion, I have added important quotes of wisdom from various enlightened beings, philosophers, scientists and others that illuminate each principle. Wisdom comes from many sources and a few of these quotes are from surprising individuals. If you are unfamiliar with any of them, reference the book’s Index of Quoted Authors.

The principles are much intertwined and
