lit by the divine,

When the world feels hollow

I’m the one to follow

From the top, the world is a giant rock

a current, a swirl

watch it twist and twirl,

A light in the night

I shine bright

Surrounded by nothing, supported by the ether

I weather storms, of all shapes and forms

A reflection

A resurrection

My light is the spark

hidden in your heart

Let go

There’s nothing to follow

You are complete, life is sweet

Release all fear, wipe away your tear

There is nothing but love

I shine this truth from above

illuminating the dark, recesses of your heart

Feel the light within

start to spin

and you’ll see you are a star

shining your light upon me from afar

The death of me

The breath of you

The lofty silence that hangs between those two

The thin cord

The broken record

that lives in my head

of words unsaid

The ego is the one who speaks

before love has reached its peak

The stab of pain

My heart is in flames

I want to kill my mind

so spirit can rule

Why is it ‘I’ who is so cruel?

You left me long ago

forgot me

I was so shallow

I thought it meant something was wrong with my being

that there was something other than love you were seeing

But I am that

and you am I

It’s this beauty that makes me cry

I know it’s true

though I cannot see it
