Guides to Reading this Book
IMPORTANT: Please do not skip reading this page. If you do, chances are you’ll misunderstand me or maybe you’ll hate yourself. It is not easy to go against the tide and either way, I write, our self-righteous
self wouldn’t want to admit, take any blame, or beating for whatever negative consequences our actions create. For that reason, read this book with an open mind, a pinch of humor, and a grain of salt.
Understanding how I use pronouns, jargons and Emoji’s
You/You are/You’re/ …one — here, I am referring to the general public. I do not in any way mean directly you. You will only feel that it is you
if you feel guilty or in self-doubt. If that happens, take a breather or use one of the blank pages for whatever purpose it may serve you.
We/We are/We’re/People — by these, I mean the general public including ME. This book is not about to saint-tify
me nor sanctify
anyone. I feel guilty and in self-doubt at times too.
Me/Myself/I — referring solely to me. It is my standpoint based on my belief, personal experiences, preferences, feelings, and how my heart and brain processes all that.
Emoji’s and jargons — this is how expressive I am in my writings, I use
(See pages 78 - 79 for meanings. Don’t assume if you are unsure.)
I appreciate you are valorous enough to turn the pages and open your mind to it. I know that there will be conceited haters, bitches, stuck-up snobs, maybe even stalkers who will come after me after reading this book, but I’m sticking to my guns and I’ll fire away anyway. Here it goes! Start turning the pages and have a fun read!
A
AIDS infected person has a dirty sex life and lifestyle
I am charged up, fired up, and likewise inspired by Elton John’s speech about Aids at his 2019 concert in Montreux. Aids is a sickness that can be acquired in different ways. It’s not entirely because of promiscuous lifestyle.
So go get a glass of empathy — drink it, think straight and
Albinos are maleficent, evil mutants and have blood with magical powers
The depictions are as sadly as such, because it is heavily stereotyped in too many films. Albinism is a medical condition that is merely a lack of skin pigmentation which varies greatly per individual. How different could that be to someone who simply has another skin color/shade? Being evil is not genetic people. They are no different from anyone else.
Alcoholics and drug addicts are violent and criminals
Not all drugs are created equal and so is the effect on the user. Not everyone who goes through this condition are law breakers. Try empathizing. It’s a positive drug, guilt-free and it has 0% hate additives.
"Anarchists are mob agitators, bomb-wielding bearded people"
Once you open your mind to this very provocative stereotype, you will see that there are things worth learning from them (e.g., inequalities, corruption, etc.) It’s a society in which one can do whatever they choose, except to interfere with the capability of other individuals to do what they see fit. Trying to understand their concept is a better alternative than biting someone’s head off.
Asians married to foreigners are prostitutes and kids are whiz-kids
In this day and age?!
you asked with guiltless eyes. Yes, and this is just the top of the list. Shall we just chalk it up to a deficit in awareness rather than malice? I have worked in the tourism industry and have faced people with different intentions (e.g., provocative, genuine curiosity, etc.); nonetheless, it is important to know that Asia is a huge cultural melting pot. Racial diversity is so imminent in every country that it is ludicrous to even come up with a generalization. So unless these assumptions are from cartoon network, then congratulations for educating your opinion.
Americans lack intellectual curiosity, and are obese, materialistic, and racist
It’s philosophically arguable. They have about 330 million in population, at that they have some who proves it true — except — you can find those in practically every country. The land of the free and home of the brave is rich in diverse race and cultural groups where great people influenced the world, invented gadgets that modernized our lives, created music that made history groovy, and contributed gazillion of things that we should be thankful for. They deserve so many credits and not
