    What Is Faith?

Our faith in God is powerful. We all have faith in something but through many trials and tribulations, I found that placing my faith in God is the best decision that I’ve made. Let’s see what the word of God says about faith.

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1 (EXB) Faith means ·being sure [the assurance; or the tangible reality; or the sure foundation] of the things we hope for and ·knowing that something is real even if we do not see it [the conviction/assurance/evidence about things not seen].

Hebrews 11:1 (AMP)Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

According to Merriam-Webster, faith means belief and trust in and loyalty to God.¹ We can’t see faith but its tangible. Our faith can cause something to be created out of nothing. God will often place us in a situation where we have nothing except for faith and the word of God. As you decide to put God to the test, your faith will cause supernatural manifestations. When I was at rock bottom, my faith in God produced miracles. Sometimes, God gave me an idea. I didn’t have the funds for the vision. Yet I trusted God and stepped out in faith. As I stepped out, the resources and the right people came so I could accomplish the vision.

    Two

Five Keys To Stay In Faith

    1) Listen to preaching.

Romans 10:17 says, So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. When we listen to anointed preaching, our faith is being built up. When we feel discouraged, listening to a powerful sermon can encourage us not to give up. This is why it’s so vital to surround yourself with faith-filled people who can help strengthen you on this Christian walk. When I went through a dry season, listening to my favorite prophet ministering gave me hope to hold on to the promises of God even more.

    2) Pray in tongues

Jude 20 says, But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. One of the best ways to build up your faith is to pray in tongues. When was the last time you spoke in your heavenly language? When I get weary, I will pray intensively in tongues and immediately I feel stronger. Afterwards, I begin to make my prophetic declarations. I have received so many breakthroughs by praying this way.

1 Corinthians 14:2 says, For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. We may not understand what we are saying when we are praying in tongues but God does. When we pray in tongues, our minds aren’t involved so we are actually praying a perfect prayer of faith. Praying in the spirit bypasses our minds and we are being strengthen in God.

    3) Read the word

Romans 15:4 says, "For whatsoever things were

written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope." The scriptures are there for instruction in our journey with the Lord but also there to encourage us. As we read through the pages in the bible, there are many examples of people with real problems. They cried out to a God who defended, provided, and

blessed them. When you read what God has done in the past, you will have hope to believe God for the miraculous.
