About this ebook
Fairy Godmother Catherine has lived through the rise and fall of kingdoms, the age of dragons, and facilitated more than one Happily-Ever-After. However, she might not survive a company-mandated vacation. After wielding her magic for centuries, she must go cold turkey for ten long days. Her caseload back home stands taller than an ivory tower, so the directive to rest, relax, and not use magic feels like the worst kind of punishment—possibly worse than getting knocked into a large oven by two brats hopped up on sugar.
Now Catherine's about to find out if you can teach an old wolf new tricks.
Godmother Gone Wild is a humorous modern fantasy short story, suitable for all ages.

Lara loves love. From books, music, and film she loves to get swept up in emotions - both good and bad - and gripping stories. When she's not busy writing about strong women getting their Happily Ever Afters, this single mom is lavishing love on her son and their two ridiculously pampered cats.

About the Author
For Mom,
Proof-reader extraordinaire
Catherine stepped off the shuttle bus, into the tropical island heat. Warmth blanketed her skin like the comfortable embrace of an old friend. The scent of jasmine, with a hint of honeysuckle, drifted in the light breeze. She took in the sandstone building from behind her sunglasses. It was smaller than she’d expected; the soft cream colour blended artlessly with the lush and vibrant nature of the island. She released a quiet sigh. Of all the places in the world to endure a forced vacation, this was a pretty good choice.
The lobby of the hotel was equally impressive, from the cool marble tiles underfoot to the muted tones of the walls and furniture around her. Catherine noted that everyone around her, including the staff, looked pleased to be at the resort.
She stood in line for check-in grumbling to herself. Imagine! Being forced to take time off because she was so good at her job! She should be given accolades or, at the very least, they should finally approve the standing desk she’d submitted a requisition for three months ago. But, no. Instead management—or manglement, as she liked to
