      Max

      There is a long line in Smith’s Books when I step into the store. Wow, I didn’t expect this. Are they all here for the book-signing? Willa is sitting behind a desk. I stand at the end of the line and watch her signing her books and speaking to her fans.

      She looks stunning in her button-up lilac silk blouse. I remember this shirt. She wore it last time when she came to the mall. I remember her undoing her buttons and letting me take a peek at her cleavage… She was so hot! My mouth feels dry just remembering it.

      My eyes move to her long legs in high-heels and fishnet stockings. Jeez, does she have to dress so sexily for a book signing? I look at the men around me, checking to see whether they are also staring at Willa, like me. But of course, everyone here, man or woman is. Damn. The air is so stifling I can hardly breathe. Don’t they have air-conditioning?

      Ms. Rose, I’m Kate. I’m so excited to be here! a woman says to Willa as she gets to the front of the line and takes out a dozen books from her tote bag. Look! I’ve read all your books.

      Willa’s hand flies to her mouth. Thank you so much, Kate! You make me so happy!

      The crowd murmur and I can’t help grinning with pride. My girlfriend.
