- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It's raw and honest. The way back from the brink is never a newly paved road and this collection of poems describes the pain, torment, emotion, darkness and finally, the way to the light. Brilliantly written.

Three-Thoughts on Why I Can’t Stay
Silence is abundant when there is an absence of pride.
Misunderstood, out of reach, labels for a lost soul.
His heart was of a child’s trusting and untainted, but the apocalypse of love and its disclosure made the world seem obscure.
Scream a little louder than before.
Cut my soul with words and anger.
Accuse me and use me, I’m your whore.
Deep down I know you hate me, so I wonder, Why do you keep me around?
I’m dead but not underground.
Save me.
I’ve lost myself and fear I can’t find my way back.
I’d take your hand, but I know I’d let go.
You hold me and kiss my skin.
You feel good but it isn’t enough.
I wish I could explain my absence to you because I could really use a friend.
Call me the villain.
You’re right and I know it.
Alienation leaves me swaying in the breeze.
I’m about to blow away.
Words go unheard and intentions unnoticed.
Though, I believe you can hear me but you’re no different than the rest.
You pretend to love me, play the role, the mirror tells its tale.
Your scars are evident.
Poem
Here within the madness of indecision and confusion,
is a cold steel blade penetrating my flesh and exposing all that is weak?
It is guilt that paints the walls of sanity.
