Queen Elise staves off the first onslaught of fierce Skavian warriors trying to take over her domain, but is severely wounded in the battle. When she is finally brought to the Fairy Palace, Her wound is turning even more serious. The spike that hit her had an unknown poison on it from another land. There is no one in the Fairy Kingdom who can help her with it. Daleana tries but even she can only slow the poison’s effects. Back at sea, the battle still rages on off the eastern shore between the Skavians and the Pirates, the Jade fleet and the Fantasy fleet. Chapter One (Setup)

Queen Elise is in her palace. She is seated at the center of the far table in the great receiving room. Queen Chardonnay is on her right with Fairy Captain of the Guard, Commander Monique. Daleana and Winkle are on her left. Her Royal Guards stand at attention behind her. Prince Jenaka and his three guards are seated facing the Queen.

The Fairy Scout, who told the Queen Elise earlier that the Skavian fleet and its King were approaching, has returned with more data.

Queen Elise asks the Fairy Scout, How far away from Port Royal are they? And how many ships are there?

The Fairy Scout says, I am the forth leg on the message, the first Fairy Scout, who was out at sea, said, ‘About two days with full sail. There are fifty ships.’

Queen Elise inquires eagerly, What kind of ships?

The Fairy Scout says, She reported that there are thirty five ships packed with troops, five ships crammed with supplies and ten war ships armed with catapults and ballistae!

Queen Elise says, Thank you. Go back to your post and keep me informed, just in case there are more ships behind them.

The Fairy Scout bows and leaves.

Queen Elise says, I hope the wind dies down. I fear Port Royal may be lost to some degree. We’ll see. She raises her hand and signals.

Commander Monique gets up, comes over to her and asks, Yes, my Queen?

She replies, Send this message out immediately to the outer islands. We will be invaded at Port Royal in two days time with 50 ships. Also, Isis Inlet will be attacked by Skavian Warriors, but we have no data yet on when.

Queen Elise’s message reads,

"To the Nobles of Nor,

"Port Royal will be attacked in two days time by Skavian Warriors with 50 ships: thirty five troop carriers, five supply ships and ten destroyers. This has been arranged by King Shadak. And Isis Inlet will also be attacked by the Skavians. No data yet on how many or when they will attack the inlet.

"Harpies Isle, Isle of the Undead and Isle of Egypt: have your 42 ships waiting at Harpies Isle inlet. Navel Commander Riken will lead you. He will be there shortly. We will attack them as they are disembarking. When their longboats are in the water full of warriors that’s when we should attack. We’ll catch them off guard. My Fairies will give you the signal.

"Fantasy Princess, Jade Tattoo Princess and Pirate Captain Jamison will attack them at Isis Inlet. I will have my troops at the top of the cliffs.
