INTRODUCTION
There are two burdens every aspiring critical thinker must consider when making or evaluating an argument—the evidentiary burden and the persuasive burden.
Underlying these burdens are several duties necessary to meet them—words and phrases form the foundation of any argument and when their meaning is a.m.biguous or duplicitous, so is the position that relies on these words or phrases. Chris Corlett in
The Duty to Define"
The Oxford English Dictionary defines the word cryptid as An animal whose existence or survival is disputed or unsubstantiated, such as the yeti.
Bigfoot is a nocturnal cryptid bipedal that lives mostly hidden all over the world. Their DNA is 90% animal and 10% human. We are still trying to confirm their origin. But they are out there. They avoid contact with humans, but they have a strong attraction for people. They like to watch humans, especially children. They are also attracted to horses and like to braid their manes. Most of them are very large but harmless. Some are aggressive. They eat the meat of animals. They need about 5,000 calories each day and live on prey they catch and eat. They also eat plants, the tips of tree leaves, berries and fruit. But their favorite meal is the liver of deer they catch and kill. They move about mostly at night although some have been seen during daylight hours. They are crafty and they are big Juveniles can be five feet tall. Adults can be nine or 10 feet in height--eight feet is common. Some weigh over 600 pounds. They’re covered in hair much like a gorilla. Their hair can be tan to brown to black with the oldest animals having white hair giving them the moniker, silverbacks.
When distressed, they exude a strong disagreeable odor. They can move swiftly through the woods and they can swim across rivers. They can also climb trees. They communicate with sounds--hooting, howling, and growling. They also knock wood and rocks together. Some have been heard to speak in gibberish or an Indian-sounding tongue called samurai.
Some have been known to speak in languages we understand such as English. They build wooden structures such as log teepees, and they leave gifts
when someone puts out food for them. Some of them possess supernatural abilities such as becoming almost invisible using a technique called cloaking.
Witnesses have described how some have simply disappeared behind trees. Others can change their form such as becoming orbs of light. And others appear to pass through portals into another dimension or world. They often use mental thoughts called mind speak
to share thoughts. They can project emotion that causes nearby humans to become afraid and want to leave the area. Some witnesses have been zapped
by the energy field they put out. They are to be respected. These are their woods. Some create dread in humans. In fear, man has attempted to kill these creatures causing them to hide from humans. We can live in their woods without ever seeing them. One fisherman said he grew up fishing in the swamps of Florida but never saw or heard bigfoot until he returned years later. He was focused on fishing, not finding them.
This book is about these elusive creatures. It covers current encounters in Michigan with the creature known as Bigfoot.
Emphasizing current encounters, we’ll describe incidents involving them by county from north to south, left to right, and from the top of the Upper Peninsula to the south end of the Lower Peninsula.

On Misidentifying Bigfoot Creatures as Bears
(An introduction by Val Zavala - Michigan Bigfoot Report and Data: Gumshoguy's Corner)
Am I right or wrong? There is no move toward recognizing or even acknowledging that Bigfoot or Sasquatch exists, but scientists, government employees, and the media readily acknowledge the existence of bears and may even tacitly state that an encounter was a bear here and there knowing full-well, it was not. Misidentification is and has been an intent to classify a Sasquatch as a bear long before 1958 when Bigfoot became a common word. There is an ongoing sham occurring to defer attention elsewhere and cover-up the truth.
I firmly believe and it is my position to reason that, whether borne out of convenience or necessity, bears have and always will be mentioned when Bigfoot Sasquatches are involved. Bears have become the new tacit code word for Sasquatch as they were so many years ago. In this age of bureaucratic double-speak, talk about bears and you’re really talking about Bigfoot.
When Sasquatch is reported, to understand without the term being stated it becomes necessary to insert the double entendre (a figure of speech with two interpretations). Yes it is a misleading ruse and an effective stratagem borne out of its own weight by virtue and convenience opportunity. Double-speak is often referred to as double entendre meaning a word or phrase with two meanings or interpretations.
Bear and Sasquatch have a double meaning because the terms are intentionally exact and unclear. Misidentifying bears when we’re actually referring to Sasquatches is likely the new tacit standard for acknowledging bigfoot creatures s while not explicitly admitting or directly acknowledging their existence.
To the unknowing, unwitting public, this technique of double-speak and acceptance would go unnoticed if it weren’t blatantly untrue. Bigfoot creatures have long been referred to as sasquatch,
bear-men,
werewolf,
wild men,
gorilla-men,
ape-men,
bears,
man-bear.
and many other names for years, but no animal has ever taken such blame for its deviousness and misbehavior, including the source of missing persons as the bear. So, it is my contention that many times when officials become mired in public demands for answers. they feel cornered and hard pressed to explain the unexplainable, so they use the B
word often and know the word is used interchangeably to mean bear and bigfoot.
Because there is this tacit understanding that you have to explain the unexplainable without mentioning or acknowledging Bigfoot or Sasquatch, people use the B
word accompanied with a poker face and say more often than not, It was a bear,
You might wonder if a particular report is one of those more acceptable lies or was there really Sasquatch involvement in the incident? It requires plenty of due diligence and skeptical questioning to get to the real truth.
When we hear of bear involvement it should raise red flags that would highly suggest the probability of Bigfoot/ Sasquatch in an area above all other possibilities. There is a growing group of people who believe and reason that these bigfoot creatures are highly intelligent. Some things bantered around in the Bigfoot community and even on forums suggest that in some respect these creatures are more people-like
than animal or primate.
Finally, whenever you see and hear a hastily contrived press conference, watch the body language and listen closely to scrutinize the words and terms expressed. The speaker may act nervous. And you may hear the B
word used. The word bear
is the new code word for Bigfoot Sasquatch without having to admit they exist through a tacit understanding that people have described these creatures for hundreds of years. They are real. And they are here.

Why do People Deny Bigfoot Existence?
One possible reason has to do with people’s fear of the unknown. When sightings and evidence began to surface strongly suggesting that a huge creature like sasquatch or bigfoot actually lived in the woods, forests, and swamps of our planet, government and
