Elephant in the room

First up, don’t mistake this article as me professing to be an expert on the matter. This serves as observations from spending a lot of time in Africa, which I have done for many years, and comes from both my own experiences and discussions with people on the ground. Secondly, this piece is little more than a top-level view of the situation, and gives initial thoughts.

In a few months’ time I will be traveling through Botswana, meeting officials, outfitters, community leaders and conservationists to pull together a much more detailed and researched article on the matter.
