Trappers: THE AMERICAN CONSERVATIONISTS

When many people hear the word trapper, they associate it with a cruel person inflicting pain upon an innocent animal. As trappers, we know that is not the case. In reality, trappers are one of the largest groups of conservationists of other wildlife and the environment.

This might not be your typical “how to go out and catch a coyote” article. I think of it as more of an education article, as to why trapping is so important and how you can help inform others about the lifestyle.

As a trapper, you have likely come across the haters asking how you could go out and trap a poor, helpless animal. In our minds we know the need to control all wildlife numbers to help ensure they thrive, as well as other animals that are affected by high furbearer populations.
