The wild dog

For the foreseeable future there will be a need to control wild dog numbers. While I understand and concede the necessity to poison predators who cause much harm, I dislike that method. Some toxins can potentially create longer periods of suffering and impact non-target species.

Trapping is another widespread option but one I personally avoid as well. My wild dog control is limited to shooting and is surely the most humane option. It sees me out and about and I walk a lot of kilometres in my pursuit of errant wild dogs.

The canines I shoot are unaware of my presence and just going about their business, when suddenly their lights go out. I always ask property owners their attitude to the wild dogs on their land, something every hunter
