Reviews for How to Make a Rainbow
4 ratings1 review
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book combines art and some science to teach children about rainbows. There is a brief explanation about what makes a rainbow, followed by pages of the colours in the rainbow and pictures of items in those colors. My grandson had fun trying to identify all the items. There is then a short section about the order of the colours followed by an activity to create your own rainbow. There are resources listed at the back of the book as well as a glossary. This book could be used in a primary classroom for an art lesson on hues and shades as well as a lesson on rainbows and prisms in science. When we made out rainbow, it did not turn our looking like the one in the book, but it was still a fun activity. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.
