- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The illustrations (photographs) in this book were amazing. My grandson didn't want me to turn the pages. After seeing video on facebook with similar information, he loved this book. As I read to him, we talked about the animals and how they used their colours to survive. What an awesome book for teachers of kindergarten and primary to use with students when teaching about animals, their defenses and adaptations in a simple way. The text is easy to follow and there is a glossary at the back to explain the vocabulary to young children. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was not what I was expecting from Crayola. It’s not a book of colors, but rather the colors that can be found in nature, and what they mean. Some mean stay away, some say lets mate, and other say, I’m hiding. A nice short lesson for the youngest bunch.
