♦ WHO DO YOU THINK God is?
♦ Is God just this mighty figure that sits on a throne and judges’ people?
♦ Where is God?
♦ What does he do?
♦ When did you first learn about God?
♦ Who told you about him?
♦ Do you pray and talk with God every day?
♦ Do you believe that God is everywhere and that he sees and knows all things?
♦ Knowing that he is everywhere, how does it make you feel?
♦ Would you change some of your actions or words knowing that he is watching you always?
♦ Have you ever thought about all of the good things that the God has bestowed upon you?
♦ How has God blessed your life?
♦ Can you recall a circumstance or something that happened when the Lord played a major role in the outcome?
♦ When have you felt God’s presence and seen his blessings?
♦ Do you thank the Lord often for all that he has given you?
♦ Where have you seen God at work in your life?
♦ Do you feel God is watching over and blessing you and your loved ones?
♦ Do you believe all good things are from God? What about the bad things in your life? Are they from God too? Or are they of the Devil?
♦ Has God ever failed you, or was it you who failed God? If so when? How did you feel?
♦ Have you ever felt abandoned by God? When? How did you feel? Hurt, alone, scared, etc.?
♦ Did God eventually show you that he was with you all of the time.
♦ How would your life differ without your faith in the Almighty?
ANGELS
† Jesus said to him, Away from me, Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only. Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him. Matthew 4:10-12
† For it is written, ‘He will command His angels concerning you to guard you. Luke 4:10
† Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13:2
♦ DO YOU BELIEVE THAT angels are watching over us?
♦ Angels are found throughout the Bible, so do your truly believe that they exist?
♦ Have you ever been blessed by the guidance of God’s angels?
♦ Was there a time in your life when angels intervened or provided protection on your behalf?
♦ Would you describe what happened. How did you feel after that event?
♦ Did it change you in anyway?
♦ Did you feel uncomfortable telling others about your experience with angels? Why?
♦ Have you ever heard the voice of an angel?
♦ Have you ever seen an angel?
♦ If you have been blessed with the vision of an angel, how would you describe them?
♦ If you ever made a special request to an angel, was the outcome what you hoped for or expected?
♦ Known anyone who had an experience with an angel? Would you tell us their story?
♦ Why do you think God created angels?
♦ How do you think your life would be different if you knew that angels are watching over you at all times? Do you know that they are?
ARGUING / QUARRELING
† Keep reminding them of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. 2 Timothy 2:14
† Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 2 Timothy 2:23
♦ ARE YOU CONSIDERED more of an arguer or a peacemaker?
♦ Who do you quarrel with the most? Why?
♦ What makes you angry enough to want to quarrel?
♦ What is really worth arguing over?
♦ Must you always win an argument in order to prove superiority? Or, do you let others have the victory?
♦ Do certain topics or events set you off?
♦ Who have you quarreled with lately? Did you settle that dispute or is there still a lingering problem?
♦ Do you try to calm down and listen to the other person’s side, their point of view?
♦ Have you said hurtful things to someone in an argument that you wish you had not said?
♦ Do you think you could apologize to that person now?
♦ Can you learn to walk away from potentially explosive situations?
♦ How did Jesus argue in the Bible? Was he sarcastic or did he give mostly examples through parables? Can you tell us your favorite parable?
BEING THANKFUL
† Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
† I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. Psalm 69:30
† With praise and thanksgiving, they sang to the Lord: Ezra 3:11
† I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. Psalm 9:1
♦ WHAT DO YOU THANK God for? Do you thank God for both the good and the bad?
♦ Is this scripture hard for you to accept? Why?
♦ When we face trials, do you have trouble thanking God when things don’t go your way?
♦ Did you believe that trials make you stronger?
♦ Have you ever thanked God for something that made you sad, even though you know it may have happened for your own good? Would you like to tell us about it?
♦ When have you seen the good in something bad that happened, knowing that it is God’s will for your life? How about something that may have hurt your feelings or was a disappointment?
♦ Have you helped someone who was going through a difficult time by relating this scripture to them?
♦ Do you think it is pleasing to God when you give him thanks and give thanks to others?
♦ Have you been in a situation in front of others when something did not go your way, yet you did not get mad or pout? Perhaps even thanked God? If so, how did you feel afterward? How did others react?
♦ How do you think God feels when he sees you being thankful or understanding his ways in a situation that may be painful?
BIBLE
† He replied, My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice. Luke 8:21
