About this ebook

The "TRANSFORMATION GUIDE To Authentic Christian Life" is packed with the richness of Christian wisdom derived from the word of God. It is designed towards helping my readers to transform their life and never be the same again. My theme to it is: "PSALMS 71:17 "O God, You Have Taught Me from My Youth; and to this Day I Declare Your Wondrous Works".

It is well versed for someone who wants to learn the word of God in the essence of seeking the unconventional Christian value, not looking much into the excellence that comes by watching others.

We all indeed need mentors to excel anywhere in life, but to my knowledge, we don't go far by what we learn by watching others do than what we learn from them as per the word of God.

The "TRANSFORMATION GUIDE To Authentic Christian Life" is phenomenally characterized by the devotional spirit like Apostle Paul taught, "Follow me as I follow Jesus". By following the word of God, we learn to unmistakably make choices that mean honoring God and trusting Him for the way we are heading.

According to "TRANSFORMATION GUIDE To Authentic Christian Life", we cannot learn to be better Christians unless we apply the word of God in every possible way. Those who went before us and emerged winners learned their way and earned it too by distinctly seeking God as a person and as a deity they could trust.

Those who failed too are a subject we must not ignore, they are the bad example we must not admire or follow after. Abraham Believed God he had not seen before, King David trusted God more than his power and wealth, Samson failed miserably by failing to heed the word of God to him, King Saul died in sin after failing in his duty as King Elect.

This book teaches that watching after what they did isn't just enough, we have a mandate as the saints of the 21st century, the people that Jesus termed as, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and a sign will not be given it, except the sign of Jonah" Matthew 16:4

The sign of Jonah, in this case, is nothing lesser than what he preached in the wilderness, "Repent and bear fruits that pertain unto righteousness".

Our quest to leading an "Authentic Christian Life" calls for discipline and commitment as we learn and practice the word of God. I hope you will learn more by applying the word of God authentically and living faithful to Him.

You will not regret purchasing it for a value-added Christian Faith.

I wish you a happy reading experience and good luck on your Christian journey.

Transformation Guide To Authentic Christian Life - ELIJAH EHOMBAH

    CHAPTER ONE:

TRUTH OF THE MATTER (Seeing It through the Eyes of God)

As I said from the beginning, God is the originator of everything we can see; heavens, earth, the universe, human nature, and other living beings. Bearing that in mind, we thus understand that God is the greatest engineer there could ever be.

He formed the earth with different elements of different shapes, different dimensions, different everything. I like the 3D factor of matter.

But in this case, I am going to rename it in the Holy Spirit and call it the 3 T factor. The 3D factor is where you see things in 3 dimensions (length, width, height). It is scientifically invented and approved, but it has its roots in the spiritual.

The original engineer (God) used it to design everything we see, including the smallest particle we call An Atom. However, it does not all count with length, width, and height, like physical science.

This is about spirituality, not philosophy or religion, but the personified spiritual matter. Thus, by 3 T, the three dimensions of the matter, powered by a spiritual anointing and not by the atomic composition.

We well know that matter is anything that can occupy space and has weight, and an atom is the smallest particle of a substance that can move and cause change. Now buy that idea and bring it to the supernatural; you will soon get my point. By 3 T, I mean

    - Transformation

    - Transition

    - Transmission

    These three factors are intertwined, and they work to validate each other. They run in an all-life-round motion that breaks only when we are no more functional (spiritually and mentally).  God scheduled us to see, learn, practice, and activate the anointing, Master the attributes of our equipped calling, and finally advance by imparting to others. Now, here is how it works;

    ––––––––

    TRANSFORMATION

I have chosen it as the base according to my observation; for this is where it all begins. Transformation can either happen naturally, supernaturally, or by acts of humans. It is the conditional process that facilitates changes in life, all happening in a static projection where work, faith, and time are the seed elements.

It involves both the state and the action to make a complete cycle in the process of getting transformed; from one personality to another and from one spiritual location to another. That is why salvation is more of a journey as much as it is a state in somebody's life.

We know well that the word of God is a living spirit; thus, when we study, believe in it, and practice it, we are on the track of transformation. There is a script about one Ethiopian Eunuch who was on this chariot, reading the scripts from the book of Isaiah but could not understand.

When he invited Apostle Philip on his chariot, the Apostle made known to Him all that was true. The Eunuch took the step of faith, and before he got to his destination, he was a transformed man.

    Acts 8:27-39 NKJV

    27. So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship,

    28. was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet.

    29. Then the Spirit said to Philip, Go near and overtake this chariot.

    30. So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, Do you understand what you are reading?

    31. And he said, How can I, unless someone guides me? And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him.

    32. The place in the Scripture which he read was this:

"He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; And as a lamb before its shearer is silent, So He opened not His mouth.

    33. In His humiliation His justice was taken away, And who will declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth."

    34. So the eunuch answered Philip and said, I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?

    35. Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.

    36. Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?

    37. Then Philip said, If you believe with all your heart, you may. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

    38. So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him.

    39. Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.

It seems that the Eunuch had a tendency to read the scriptures but didn’t have a revelation. He asked Philip, "How do I know unless I’m told (taught)?

The human spirit is generally repellant to the truth in the word of God. But the Eunuch, having been born of a heathen world and leading a secular life, accepted the Lord quite fasts. The power of God's word worked on His faith within a short time and brought a lifetime change.

This is what happened to each one of us when we accepted Jesus. We are not a result of carnal or secular forces that work around us, but a good seed created through the word of God.

    Ephesians 4:22-24 NKJV

    22. That you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,

    23. and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

    24. and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Saint Agustin said, Truth is like a lion; release it, and it will defend itself.

Though the Eunuch used to go to worship in Jerusalem, no one told him about Jesus. By his belief, no force on earth or in heaven would stop him from salvation and baptism. The heavens sent an angel to Philip and Philip left for the task, an indication that it happened by divine intervention.

In this same manner, does our faith and practice of the word of God transform us from newborn Christian to the destined vessels in Christ. God trains us to live in His will and brings us to tests that are meant to transform us. Some of the adversities we face are tests that God has fashioned to transform our hearts (believes), our minds, and life in general.

    I have been asking myself why God knew that David was a man after His own heart; then led him in the wilderness. He ran from Saul for almost 17 years, no big crime he committed against the king. Later it came to my revelation through the Psalmist;

    Psalms 119:71 NKJV

    71.  It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes.

Now it is clear to me that training and tests are a part of the game of life. Bishop T.D Jakes once taught and said that; God anoints us in trouble. When we face the challenges through the word of God, we are transformed instead of perishing; we get renewed instead of being eliminated.

However, this is not a one-time activity but a lifetime process by which reading and practicing the word is a lifestyle. Apostle Paul taught:

    Romans 12:2 NKJV

    2. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

This would not be done unless we are rooted in the word of God. It is evident that when we are transformed, things work differently from what they looked like earlier before.

That is the way to transit from one stage to another without retrogressing, and that is also the way to the heart of eternal life.

Another thing to note is that, even if we fail to work out transformation with or through God's word, it will still take place. Those who fail then transform by employing secular norms, and that is the way to eternal doom.

    ––––––––

    TRANSITION

Transition is the process of seasonal transfer of life matters from one stage (of life) to another. Doctrinally, it is a dynamic experience where the supernatural intervenes to help us move from one glory to another. It happens as an effect of time and work, we all live in it, but some don’t realize it takes place.

Some situations take less time than others and so mature up for transitioning earlier. In this process the economies grow and political grooves change momentum, where the ministers realize the impact they have in the hearts of the people; the process in which scholars stand to set and advance their know-how in the job industry.

Scripturally, there are many good examples, but I will talk about Jacob. After being transformed into the blessing of his father, he ran safely to live with Laban. We know the story of the hardships that he faced as he was being transformed into what God intended of him.

After 20 years of toil, he left for his motherland, and that is when he got into the transitional journal of this ultimate calling.

    On his way, at Bethel, he had an encounter with God, again, and they wrestled all night; in the morning, his whole life changed. His name (destined identity) transformed from Jacob meaning A deceiver  to Israel  meaning Blessed one.  He received a hundred folds of every blessing;

➔  Confirmation of his father’s blessing and promise of God (of Abraham and Isaac)

➔  He re-established the covenant with God and was established for nations.

➔  He received the divine anointing for his ultimate future and his generations.

    Genesis 35:9-15 NKJV

    9. Then God appeared to Jacob again, when he came from Padan Aram, and blessed him.

    10. And God said to him, Your name is Jacob; your name shall not be called Jacob anymore, but Israel shall be your name. So He called his name Israel.

    11. Also God said to him: "I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall proceed from you, and kings shall come from your body.

    12. The land which I gave Abraham and Isaac I give to you; and to your descendants after you I give this land."

    13. Then God went up from him in the place where He talked with him.

    14. So Jacob set up a pillar in the place where He talked with him, a pillar of stone; and he poured a drink offering on it, and he poured oil on it.

    15. and Jacob called the name of the place where God spoke with him, Bethel. Jacob named that place Bethel, meaning House of God.

It is a place that God appeared twice, and there everything about him changed. It is a divinely anointed location where people went back to seek God’s counsel many years after Jacob was gone.

    Hosea 12:4-5 NKJV

    4. Yes, he struggled with the Angel and prevailed; He wept, and sought favor from Him. He found Him in Bethel, and there He spoke to us—

    5. That is, the LORD God of hosts. The LORD is His memorable name.

Bethel became the city of God, where mysteries of God exist, and a place of divine encounters. This has really taught me that there is divine fulfillment of all things in the transformation and transition of the righteous.

However, we live with accountability units where we work today for the future and eternity. What we fill in our life account books today is definitely what we live by in the future. It is also the determinant of our eternity. The encounter we have with God or with Satan and what we do with it dictates where we end.

Jacob worked his way for his generations and the nations. The transformation was realized, and the transition was met with the standards where God was the author. How beautiful it is when we allow God to set the standards that we live. As long as we meet His requirements, there is an assurance of a great end.

Our calling is anointed with the grace of an accomplished purpose, and our ultimate end shall be met with dignity.

    TRANSMISSION

In trying to understand the intended course, and so transmission means to transfer something from one being, place or item to another through impartation. In this case, we are about transferring (knowledge, wisdom, anointing of power from the source which is in Christ Jesus to the souls He has entrusted to us.

It is the evidence of what God does with grace He has deposited in you; He also authenticates it with signs and wonders.

There are numerous realms of knowledge in our lives, after going through one, we are led to another. It all depends on our levels of and standards through which we qualify. After passing the rites of acquisition, the Lord qualifies us for stewardship and new affiliations of our caliber.

This remarks that God never prepared anyone in vain; He prepared Moses for Israelites’ deliverance, Virgin Mary for the birth of Jesus, John the Baptist to prepare the way of Jesus, twelve disciples for the apostolic calling and commission.

This happens to everyone; when we realize our purpose, He equips, perfects, and qualifies us for the calling after our know-how- (knowledge). I call it advancement when we qualify for God’s service, and we are hired by God to do His will and perform duties after His own will plan.

    Hebrews 13:21 NKJV

    21. Make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

    Mark 16:20 NKJV

    20. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

    Acts 9:36-42 NKJV

    36. At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did.

    37. But it happened in those days that she became sick and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.

    38. And since Lydda was near Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them.

    39. Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.

    40. But Peter put them all out,
