When her men return home from a day out and ignore their plans, Kayla is left fuming. But maybe all is not what it seems? What if everyone is hiding a secret?

This is a fast paced, short containing the characters in Junior "Eh" and Changing On The Fly. You do not need to read the other books first, but it is preferable. Dump 'N' Chase - TB Mann

    Chapter One

    Kayla

An offensive strategy where players dump the puck over the blue line into the opposing team’s end, usually toward the corners.

They then chase after the puck in the hopes of moving play into the attacking zone. It keeps the opposing team hemmed in and on the defensive.

Mmmm. Her stomach growled while she basted the oven roast and flipped over the roasted root vegetables. This was going to be a perfect early Valentine’s Day meal for her three husbands even if it was two weeks early.

She closed the oven door and straightened. One hand grabbed her forehead while the other gripped the side of the counter. Black spots swam in front of her eyes. Her stomach changed from growling to bubbling—and not in a good way. The hand holding her forehead rushed to cover her mouth. Crap, not now.

Her stomach lurched. Closing her eyes, she took a couple of deep breaths in through her nose. For the past week, food prep had been a precarious activity especially when trying to hide her secret. Whoever had named morning sickness had never been pregnant. While hers wasn’t as bad as some who were sick 24/7, she had to deal with sudden bouts of nausea occurring randomly throughout the day, instead.

But it would all be worth it in the end. She wanted a big family. One that was close and loving, not like the one she’d grown up in. With four younger half-siblings, she was used to the chaos and work of a large family, but she hadn’t seen her younger siblings outside of a computer screen in seven years.

When she’d been younger, after her father first remarried, she’d been crying over a doll her step-mother had thrown out. Her father asked her to think about how her stepmother felt being surrounded by things representing her mother; she just never realized that those things also included her. A few months before she’d turned eighteen, her birthmother gave her a chance to escape her father’s house, and she’d taken it.

Outside of video calls to her younger siblings, she’d never contacted her stepmother again. Even then, her stepmother avoided talking to her unless it was required. Her father on the other hand, was a work in progress, meeting her secretly one to two times a year. He was trying, she’d give him that, but she didn’t know if she’d ever be able to overcome the hurt he’d caused.

With her nausea subsiding—the silver lining to her so-called morning sickness was that it lasted only a few minutes—she wiped her sweat covered forehead. That was the downside. With each bout of nausea, her body decided to participate in full body sweats. Wrinkling her nose, she glanced at the clock on the stove before turning off the heat. Everything was going perfectly according to plan, giving her enough time to shower and change before her husbands arrived home from their man day.

    During her shower, she
