Prologue
Have you heard something that you wished later that you shouldn’t have? Or others thought you heard them, but the truth is you did not?
You might have or not, but I have. Unintentionally I jeopardize my life, but later I was really happy about it. My profession became my turning point of my whole life. And in one of the pages in my life, I learned that all profession can be dangerous or thrill depending on the situations.
Chapter 1
Rick that’s my name, I got from my father. Meaning behind my name was a ‘Brave ruler’ they did not told me the meaning though I searched in the internet. But my name was different then my real life. Suffered from many illnesses, often got bullied also but never able to fight back. I was good at academics but what I only wanted was to be good at sports like every other student. Due to my illness I was not allowed to participate in sports and gradually started to concentrate on Academics. My parents always took good care for me or in other words it annoyed me most of the time. How you would you have feel if you were the only who never attempted summer camp in your school life or never went to a hiking with friends? My life was nothing more than bird in a cage that’s all thrill and adventurous life had been replaced with medicines and book.
After denying my parent’s wish, in the age of twenty-one I went to join the police in New Jersey, I passed several test including in bomb squad and was even passed with the best score but unfortunately due to my illness I was not selected. My parent unable to see my condition forced me to choose another job.
So, I moved to New York and got a job as a hair stylist in a beauty salon, even though I was not satisfied with my job anyway who could have been a hair stylist even after having degrees from colleges. But I did not have a choice as I have to pay for the house rent because I didn’t have any relatives in New York and was shamed to ask money from my parents as they have already spend huge amount for my medicines and treatment from my early childhood. I was planning to give exams for cop in next month even after getting rejecting in New Jersey.
In one of my usual days after all my staff had leaved and I was the last one and it was nearly time to close the beauty salon, when a girl suddenly enters and placed her hands on her knees and breathed heavily.
I told her that it is time to close the beauty salon but she insisted me. As I was a kind hearted and rogue person, I told her to sit down on the chair.
I started to observe her from a distance. The lady was anxiously pacing, frequently looks towards the windows and often starred her watch.
I wanted to ask her if she is okay. But her sensible condition was somehow preventing me from asking her. She gets shocked by even the slightest noise made by me. Her condition got worse and she looked pale and afraid. Her eyes were started to become blood red and she grape her package more tightly and kept looking around by turning her head.
