{It was a dark and stormy night everybody was inside their houses but our dear Jasmine Jackson aka JJ was out solving a mysterious case which was going to change her life forever……….}
JJ = Tell me again Aron…
Did you know Chloe Gates before the night she died?
Aron = I told you everything Ms. Jackson, I swear!
JJ = I feel like something is missing in your story.
Aron = All right, I’ll tell you one more time…
Like I told you before, the girl was running towards my cab…and as I said, she looked scared…
[7 hours earlier]
Chloe = Stop! Please!
I need to get to the Museum! Please!
Aron = I’m off duty ma’am and…
Chloe = Please, you gotta help me!
Aron = Okay, Okay.
Chloe = Thanks!
[Chloe called someone]
Chloe = Therasia, I got them! The ring and the files…
I found a clue in a painting called ‘Medusa’s Vanity’. I need you to… (Mobile battery at 1%)
We’re in danger, Therasia.
Meet me at the Museum! (Mobile battery dead)
[Car Stopped]
Aron = Here we are, ma’am. Are you sure you’re gonna be all right?
[Chloe stepped out of the cab and went towards the Museum gate suddenly she felt something on her neck and Chloe died….]
[Back to Present]
Aron = That’s all I can tell you…
JJ = Where is this ring you mentioned? We didn’t find it at the crime scene.
And who might be this Therasia?
Maybe I missed something. Let me try to remember…
When I arrived at the crime scene last night…
[Last Night]
Cop = You’re not supposed to be here, Ms. Jackson. We don’t need a private investigator.
JJ = Of course you do. Call Andrew, he knows why I’m here.
[Crime Scene, Day 1, 8:04P.M.]
Andrew = Thanks for coming JJ. I know working with cops is not your favorite thing to do…
JJ = Hi Andrew. Yeah well you know…
So… what can you tell me about the victim?
Andrew = The victim is Chloe Gates, she’s the…
JJ = Gates…? You mean the Senator’s daughter?
Andrew = Yes…I’m afraid so. She was 17 years old.
Cop = We believed she died of a heart attack.
JJ = I wouldn’t be too sure it was a heart attack. There’s more to this case than a simple heart attack.
Andrew (to cop) = Give her more space to work. She’s one of our top consultants.
Andrew (to JJ) = You have to hurry JJ, before the media circus arrives.
JJ = (Nodding her head in agreement).
{Examining the Body}
Andrew = She died around 7P.M.
JJ = It’s a strange place to visit at night…
Andrew = I was wondering why there are files here…
JJ = (And what do they contain?).
Andrew = A phone fell on the floor…
JJ = It may be the victim’s phone. She must have been surprised.
You have plenty to do some analysis.
Andrew = Yes use it as you wish, I’ll come back later.
[After Some Time]
Andrew = Did you find anything?
JJ = Look here. There’s a puncture wound, swollen around the edges, from a needle or a small dart, maybe.
Andrew = Hmm…That’s weird. I wonder why they didn’t spot that.
JJ = I think we can skip the heart attack theory, wouldn’t you say?
Andrew = It’s starting to look that way…
JJ = There’s a black ring around the wound. I would guess some sort of poison…
I’ll need to analyze her blood.
Andrew = We have everything you need here.
[Andrew Left]
[Crime Scene, Day 1, 9:21P.M.]
JJ = Andrew!!
[Andrew Arrived]
JJ = Who’s the owner of that taxi?
Andrew = It belongs to a cab driver who gave the victim a ride. He’s the one who called the police.
JJ = What’s his name?
Andrew = Aron Torres.
As far as we know, he’s the only witness.
JJ = I need to talk to him.
Andrew = You have to wait.
The medical team is taking care of him now. He’s still in shock.
JJ = I see.
Andrew = Are you going to be alright?
JJ = What do you mean?
Andrew = You know what I mean.
This girl and our daughter…they would have been the same age.
JJ = I’ve worked on cases like this before, Andrew.
Andrew = I know.
JJ = We’re not having this conversation again.
But thank you for checking on me, Andrew.
[Andrew Leaves]
JJ = (The victim’s blood containing poison and ink. It’s not a heart attack-she has been killed.
I found a small dart on the victim’s neck right here. It’s the murder weapon.
I don’t think it was a coincidence she got stuck precisely on that spot.
And the ink used on the dart makes me think the murderer wanted to cover something…on Chloe’s neck.
Perhaps I can find a selfie on her phone to see if she had a tattoo or mark on her neck.)
[Seeing the Phone]
JJ = (Damn! The phone is completely ruined.)
[Seeing the Files]
JJ = Did you check these?
Cop = For what? They’re completely soaked. All the ink is gone!
JJ = Hmm…I might be able to find something out of them.
Cop = Are you going to do a magic trick to make the ink reappear…?
[Andrew Arrived]
Andrew = Did you find anything else?
JJ = The murderer used a rare poison that paralyzes the muscles one by one.
Until it reaches the heart.
Andrew = The Murderer?
JJ = We’re clearly dealing with a murder case.
A professional, for sure. Knowledge of poison and very little evidence left behind the scene.
Andrew = We’ll interrogate the cab driver in the morning. I’ll call you when we are done.
Thanks again for you help. See you tomorrow.
[Everyone Left]
JJ = (I can’t wait till tomorrow…
I’d prefer to interrogate the witness myself.
I know better how to make people talk…
[Back to Present]
[Interrogation Room, Day 1, 10:21P.M.]
JJ = You don’t look like a killer, Aron.
Aron = I’m just a cab driver ma’am.
JJ = A cab driver who wasn’t supposed to
