About this ebook

This book is about hope, it is about love and the story of a young woman looking for love in all the wrong places. It tells my personal testimony, but also it intertwines the testimony of others in it too. It is a story of redemption, of learning how to accept yourself and to love yourself for who God created you to be. It is a story of freedom from sin, and from living a life enslaved to sin. It is a story of love, of finding true love in discovering the love of Father God for both me and for others. It is a story of forgiveness and of letting go of those who either intentionally or unintentionally hurt me in the past. It is a story of finding life, and joy and of finding beauty for ashes. It is the story of a girl, who loves Jesus. This book is written anecdotally as though it were written to a friend, because the writer is inviting the reader into the most intimate parts of their journey. This book is written during the current pandemic, with the author writing from the perspective of being a single, African, black, woman living in China through this time of upheaval and great uncertainty. This book is written in such a way as to invite the reader/friend on the journey with the author of finding her healing, and it is also an invitation for the reader to find their own healing through it's pages. The author has included activations for the reader/friend to work through on their own, because this book is not only telling the story of the author but also the story of the reader/friend too.
