About this ebook

First the U.S. then Canada. Now we're off to conquer Europe. The land of Big Ben, The Tower of London, and The London Eye. Are European cats any different than North American cats? Ask James Patterson, our big British Shorthair. We have two countries working with, or for, the cats and now it's time to persuade The Queen herself. Will we be able to get England, France, Iceland, and Greenland? Or will the cat's plans end up in the kitty box?

It's true...The Cats Made Me Do It.

Author

The Crazy Cat Daddy

I was born in the town of Castro Valley, California in 1958, raised in a military family and traveled mostly throughout the United States with the family. I never thought of myself as a writer even then. During Junior High, High School, and College I enjoyed writing poetry, never thought about writing a book. In 2016, my daughter said I should take some ideas I was tossing at her and turn them into books. With that "The Cats Made Me Do It," "Holmes Investigative Services," and "Ms. Huxley and her Kitty" came into existence. Along with that, I have written several short adventures published on the Cats Made Me Do It Website and later will be compiled into books of their own.  All the cats and kittens used in my stories are or have been residents at Crazy Cat Sanctuary and Black Cat Rescue, the humans though are fictitious, except Jo Ann, my wife, Dorothy, my daughter, or myself. We are usually referred to as Mommy, Daddy, and Sister by the cats and kittens. Because of these four-legged kids, my writing career started in earnest in 2016 with the first draft of "The Cats Made Me Do It" and a couple of web shorts that we do not share any more due to some very sad memories of "the kids'' involved. Someday I may rewrite them to share again. One thing for sure, once a CAT DAD always a CAT DAD. These four-legged creatures become your other kids for sure. They have and will continue to inspire many stories short and long,They will always give us hours of love and fun.  If I had to pick one author who truly inspires me to write, I would have to say Lilian Jackson Braun with her "Cat Who..." Series of books. As she brings the two stars Kau Ko Kum and Yum Yum to life along with their human Quilleren or Mr. Q, you can see them in your mind walking off the pages. I just hope you have as much enjoyment reading my stories as I have reading hers, and writing them for you. A little bonus for the cats. One hundred percent (100%) of all profit from the sale of my books goes to support Crazy Cat Sanctuary and Black Cat Rescue, and the precious cats and kittens I get to write about. So be sure to let your friends and family know about them.

    Preface

LET ME LEAD OFF WITH an observation. If you are preparing to read this book you must like either mysteries, travel, or kitties. In this book, you will get all three. All the humans except myself, Dorothy, or Jo Ann are fictitious but the cats and kittens are real and either have been or are current residents at Crazy Cat Sanctuary & Black Cat Rescue.

How do these books help the cats and kittens? One Hundred Percent of the sales of my books, outside of direct publishing costs, are given to Crazy Cat Sanctuary & Black Cat Rescue. This goes for food, toys, treats, and litter, along with other supplies and expenses such as medical bills and travel.

If you would like to help with the cats you can send funds via Ko-Fi to Crazy Cat Sanctuary & Black Cat Rescue or Animal Clinic (the Rescue’s vet)

You can call or text the rescue at ‪(502) 882-0791‬ for credit card donations or donations by check or money order send to:

    Chapter 1

    John Cole

BEFORE WE DIVE BACK into this story, let me introduce myself. My name is John Cole. I am a thirty-one-year-old computer programmer/troubleshooter. Or at least I was, until a few days ago that is. It all started that fateful Saturday in the alley behind my apartment building in New York City. And now, I am sitting in a private jet, a Gulfstream G550, in Baltimore, Maryland. A Tuxedo Cat, Commander, and I just finished talking to the President of the United States and his cat, then before a combined session of the House and Senate.

Now my team and I are on our way to Quebec and Ontario, Canada. Over the next few days, we will be repeating what we did in Washington D.C. My team? It consists of some very special individuals. Eight cats. Yes, I said CATS. Cats are very intelligent, very different individuals.

We have Commander the leader of the team. He is in a black and white tuxedo. His daughter Nalah, a pretty little gray tabby. Cobain is a handsome yellow tom and right hand to Django. He's a very tall, well-built black giant. We also have Ginger who heads up security. As his name implies, he's a ginger tom. Then we have sweet little Ms. Callie, a pretty dark Calico cat. She works with Tiger Man, a tiger stripe tom, and Tiger Tye, a tortoiseshell tabby. They are our one eye, wonder kids, you wonder what they are going to do next. All in all, I think
