    GEMS IN THE HOTEL

    FADE IN:

    1 INT. HOTEL - ROOM - NIGHT

A woman and a man appear in the hotel bed having sex, we can see mirrors on the ceiling of the room (we do not see the woman's face, the camera makes a SERIES OF CLOSEUP to the couple's body) The woman gets out of bed and walks towards the bathroom, she opens her purse and takes out a bottle with a silver liquid, she flicks the bottle with her finger, and suctions the liquid with the syringe.

    CUT TO:

2 BLACK SCREEN - GEMS IN THE HOTEL

    DISSOLVE TO:

    3 INT. HOTEL - ROOM - MORNING

The police are in the same room in the hotel where the couple was having sex. In the room there is a lot of movement, police taking photos, notes and collecting evidence. The man who was having sex appears in the hotel bed naked. The man is dead.

    OFFICER BRENCE

    What do we have here?

Officer Scott looks at the mirrors on the ceiling.

    OFFICER SCOTT

It looks like a passionate murder.

Officer Brence walks towards the man's corpse and sees a small mark on the man's left arm.

    OFFICER BRENCE

This is the same mark that the other victim had.

    OFFICER SCOTT

The victim we found in the room above.

Officer Brence throws out his cigarette and takes the folder under his arm, opens the folder, and shows to official Scott a picture of a dead man.

    OFFICER BRENCE

See the mark on his arm?

Officer Scott brings his gaze to the picture.

    OFFICER SCOTT

    I can barely see it.

    CUT TO:

    4 INT. HOTEL - ROOM - SAME

The entrance door is slammed on the wall by FBI investigator Ryan Mitchell who enters the room, people who are in the room taking photos and notes start to whisper.

    RYAN MITCHELL

    Another murder...

He pulls out a cigarette and lights it on.

    OFFICER BRENCE

We have photos of the last victim. They both have the same mark on their left arms.

    OFFICER SCOTT

You can barely see it here...

He shows the picture to Ryan.

    RYAN MITCHELL

I have a better picture if you want to look at it.

FBI investigator Ryan Mitchell gives Officer Scott a folder and pulls out his badge and shows it to officer Brence.

    RYAN MITCHELL

    OFFICER BRENCE

Brence Carter but ten months ago -- a supposed passional crime was committed in the room next to us - and guess what officer Carter?

    there is a short silence.

    RYAN MITCHELL

exactly - it had the same mark that the victim that was murdered three months ago had - and the same mark

this victim has- We don't want the big fish officer, but we are the only ones that can catch them.

    There is a silence.

    OFFICER BRENCE

    (sighing)

Ok detective -- Scott! -- make sure the FBI gets a report of all the evidence we found here…

    OFFICER BRENCE (CONT’D)
