About this ebook
A little jewel in the middle of the desert where men are being killed. Gems in the Hotel is more than a crime novel. We are surrounded by people who appear to be who they really are not. People who claim to love us but actually stab us in the back. We will never fully know what is real. Gems in the Hotel is an example of that. A hotel becomes the perfect place for a murderer to carry out the most heinous acts. Challenging a detective to follow the clues that lead to the capture of this mysterious person. However, it will be difficult because the detective is looking for the killer in the wrong place, without imagining that the killer is closer than he thinks.

GEMS IN THE HOTEL
FADE IN:
1 INT. HOTEL - ROOM - NIGHT
A woman and a man appear in the hotel bed having sex, we can see mirrors on the ceiling of the room (we do not see the woman's face, the camera makes a SERIES OF CLOSEUP to the couple's body) The woman gets out of bed and walks towards the bathroom, she opens her purse and takes out a bottle with a silver liquid, she flicks the bottle with her finger, and suctions the liquid with the syringe.

The police are in the same room in the hotel where the couple was having sex. In the room there is a lot of movement, police taking photos, notes and collecting evidence. The man who was having sex appears in the hotel bed naked. The man is dead.
OFFICER BRENCE
What do we have here?
Officer Scott looks at the mirrors on the ceiling.
OFFICER SCOTT
It looks like a passionate murder.
Officer Brence walks towards the man's corpse and sees a small mark on the man's left arm.
OFFICER BRENCE
This is the same mark that the other victim had.
OFFICER SCOTT
The victim we found in the room above.
Officer Brence throws out his cigarette and takes the folder under his arm, opens the folder, and shows to official Scott a picture of a dead man.
OFFICER BRENCE
See the mark on his arm?
Officer Scott brings his gaze to the picture.
OFFICER SCOTT
I can barely see it.

He pulls out a cigarette and lights it on.
OFFICER BRENCE
We have photos of the last victim. They both have the same mark on their left arms.
OFFICER SCOTT
You can barely see it here...
He shows the picture to Ryan.
RYAN MITCHELL
I have a better picture if you want to look at it.
FBI investigator Ryan Mitchell gives Officer Scott a folder and pulls out his badge and shows it to officer Brence.
RYAN MITCHELL

OFFICER BRENCE

RYAN MITCHELL

There is a silence.
OFFICER BRENCE

RYAN MITCHELL
(sighing)
I don't know, we had another murder at the hotel -- Things happen in this hotel that don't happen in other hotels.
ELIZABETH
Ok -- I'll go to the store – since you are busy.
RYAN MITCHELL
If you have problems using the credit card just call the bank -- I'm not sure if we reached the limit already.
