Chapter 1: Missing Gold Bars
It was a bright, sunny day outside and the sun was shimmering like glitter. It was a Sunday and Sabrina was getting ready to go out for a picnic with her friends, Lily and Charlotte. She was just about to finish her breakfast when her friend, Steve Jackson, called her. Steve received a scholarship to Harvard a few months ago and had to move. So, he would visit or call Sabrina in his free time. The two of them talked for a while, and Sabrina told Steve that she had to go to a picnic, and hung up. Lily and Charlotte were twins. Lily was a pretty and somewhat plump girl who had blonde hair up to her shoulders. Charlotte was like Lily but she was braver and had lighter hair. When Sabrina went to pick up the two girls in her new red convertible, she came to know that they had been waiting for a long time, got bored, and started watching T.V. The three girls finally went out for their lovely picnic.
What took you so long?
asked Lily. I almost starved to death.
Don’t be such a ninny!
said Charlotte.
You’re so rude Charlotte!
said Lily.
Hey stop fighting you two!
said Sabrina. We came to enjoy the day outside.
So the girls stopped by the river and found a nice place to eat. The girls put down the picnic blanket and started chowing down their food.

The girls finished their food quickly and decided to take a walk to the other side of the river. While they were walking, the girls decided to go to the bank. All of them were tired by the time they reached the bank, so they decided to sit down on a bench. All of a sudden,
Mr. Powell, the bank owner shouted, STOP THAT MAN!
